It’s no secret Victor Wembanyama’s star is on the rise these past few months. His recent photo with Baltimore Ravens’ Lamar Jackson is proof of that, especially with the stunning height difference between the two athletes.

Before even stepping onto an NBA court, Wembanyama had already generated immense hype thanks to his dominant performances in Europe and against the G League Ignite. The French phenom’s blend of size, skill, and basketball IQ had scouts and fans alike salivating at his potential.

The Spurs’ big man professional career began with Nanterre 92 in 2019, and he quickly made a name for himself. After a successful stint with ASVEL, he signed with Metropolitans 92 and became the youngest player to win the Pro A MVP award. The French star also earned Best Defender honors and led the league in scoring, rebounds, and blocks, solidifying his status as a generational talent.

When Wemby finally made the jump to the NBA, he faced some initial challenges, but soon found his footing. Over the course of 71 games, the Spurs’ franchise player averaged an impressive 21.4 points, 10.6 rebounds, 3.9 assists, 1.2 steals, and 3.6 blocks per contest, while shooting an efficient 46% from the field and 32% from deep. His rookie campaign was capped by him being named Rookie of the Year, and he narrowly missed out on Defensive Player of the Year honors, finishing second to Rudy Gobert.

With the NBA season now formally done, especially after the Boston Celtics defeated Luka Doncic’s Dallas Mavericks, most stars can now be seen out and about in public. One such example is when a photo of Baltimore Ravens’ Lamar Jackson and Wembanyama went viral, as seen in a post by ClutchPoints on X.

Wembanyama stands at 7’4″ while the Baltimore Ravens star quarterback has a height of 6’2″. This means that the Spurs rookie is more than a foot taller than Jackson, making their height difference insane.

Barring any injuries or external factors, Wembanyama is poised to take a greater leap in his second year in the league. In any case, expect the San Antonio star to become more popular than he is right now.
