The 49ers discovered the reason behind Twitch and YouTube’s ban of Dr. Disrespect and immediately cut all ties with the streamer.

The San Francisco 49ers have cut ties with former Twitch Streamer and YouTube Streamer Guy Beham IV, better known for his gamer tag ‘Dr. Disrespect.’ Famous for his over-the-top persona, Disrespect became one of the first successful streamers on Twitch.
However, in 2019, the website put a temporary ban on him for allegedly filming inside a public bathroom. Twitch is famous for banning its streamers for violating policies.
In June 2020 the ban became permanent without any prior notice from the platform which baffled his more than a million followers. Even Dr. Disrespect himself was unsure of the reason behind the ‘permaban.’ The two parties settled the legal issue outside of the court, but both have remained tight-lipped about since then.
He then switched over to YouTube and continued his streaming gig, collecting new subscribers in the process. This lasted for two years until recently a truth bomb has poured question marks all over his personality.
Dr. Disrespect allegedly sex-chatted with a minor
Despite the constant denial from Beham, former Twitch Account Director of Strategic Partnerships, Cody Conners made a shocking revelation on June 21. Conners alleged that Disrespect was banned because he got caught sex-chatting with a minor.
Conners further added that Disrespect even asked the person in question to meet with him at TwitchCon, although he never provided any concrete proof of the chats. Later, Disrespect addressed the allegations calling them true on June 25, further adding that everything had been settled per Game Rant.
The 49ers cut ties with Dr. Disrespect
The settlement did little to save his connection with the San Francisco 49ers. A representative of the NFL franchise told Digiday that they cut ties with Dr. Disrespect.

Disrespect is a lifelong 49ers fan and has collaborated with the five-time Super Bowl winners in the past. He even appeared in a commercial as a promotion for the organization.
In 2022, Disrespect was one of the guest announcers at the NFL Draft. The 42-year-old called 49ers third-round pick Tyrion Davis Price.
Besides the 49ers, several other sponsors hinted that they will no longer stay with Beham. Popular game developer TurtleBeach ended their partnership with Disrespect as did Midnight Society which he co-founded in 2021.
This might be a sad ending to a persona who has been an enigma in the gaming and streaming community for more than a decade. However, the banning of Disrespect set an example for new and up-and-coming enthusiasts on how to conduct themselves on the platform and MetaVerse in general.
