Viewers express intense anger towards BBC Breakfast, “why am I paying for this?”

BBC Breakfast viewers were all left with the same question on their lips as they fumed over Tuesday’s episode coverage of the 2024 election.

BBC Breakfast fans are all saying the same thing about Tuesday’s instalment.

Hosts Jon Kay and Sarah Campbell were fronting the show today as they discussed the latest news and current affairs.

One big story dominating the headlines is that England is set to take on Slovenia in their third game in the Euros later today.

To get the latest John Watson was live from Cologne, where he asked fans’ thoughts ahead of tonight’s game as well as Jermaine Jenas’ professional opinion.

But it was apparent that BBC Breakfast viewers weren’t the slightest bit interested in what was going on in the world of football.

As they fumed about there being no minister on the show despite it being the last week of the 2024 general election campaign.

Taking to X, formally Twitter, one furious viewer @HughEdw31897368 pointed out: “No govt minister on again? Instead, a sports presenter interviewing another BBC presenter who’s also a football pundit.

“We shouldn’t have to pay a licence fee for this nonsense.”

Another viewer @Susan05713606 replied: “And it’s the final week of campaigning, crazy.”

A third user @kathy1239713555 similarly asked: “Any chance of a Minister coming on today? #bbcbreakfast.”

Meanwhile, fan @AndrewJAshton1 shifted the blame to the ministers rather than BBC Breakfast, penning: “Government Ministers are all in hiding, I would bet.”

This week marks the final run-up to the 2024 general election which takes place on July 4.
