Sylvester Stallone has denied claims that his 25-year marriage with his wife ended because of his dog.

On Wednesday (US time), it was reported that muscle star Sylvester Stallone’s wife, Jennifer Flavin, filed for divorce because they were fighting over a new Rottweiler named Dwight.

Specifically, there was an argument between the two when Flavin did not want another pet while Stallone wanted the dog for “protection”. This controversy was said to be “extremely fierce leading to other problems”.

However, in his latest statement, muscle hero Stallone denied the allegations about the dog.

“We didn’t end our relationship with such a trivial argument,” the “Rocky” star told TMZ, although he admitted that the couple disagreed about “how to care for the dog.”

Stallone explained the sudden separation because he and his wife were going “in different directions”.

“I have the highest respect for Jennifer” – the 76-year-old star added – “I will always love her. She is an amazing woman. She is the most beautiful person I have ever met.”

According to Page Six’s exclusive previous report, Stallone was “blindsided” when Flavin filed for divorce last week. He was filming the Paramount+ series “Tulsa King” in Oklahoma City and was “shocked” when he received the news.

“I am very sad to announce that after 25 years of marriage, I have filed for divorce from my husband Sylvester Stallone,” Flavin told People about her decision to end their 25-year marriage.

The couple first started dating in 1988. At that time Flavin was a 19-year-old model and Stallone was 42 years old and twice divorced. The couple married in 1997 and share three daughters – Sophia, Sistine and Scarlet.
