SHOCK: Eamonn shocks fans by revealing a video of Ruth Langsford bringing a ‘young man’ home from a nightclub and into their bed!

Ruth Langsford has broken her social media silence after the supportive woman comforting Eamonn Holmes after his marriage split has told friends she is in for “the long haul”.

Relationship counsellor Katie Alexander, 42, has been on a number of outings with the GB News presenter in the last 12 months as well as being pictured at his home.

It is thought she hopes their close friendship could now become a long term relationship in the coming months.

In recent weeks she has been helping Eamonn through the split from Ruth.

But her friends are at pains to point out that their friendship has only grown close once the marriage was over.

Following the revelation, Ruth, 64, has continued to put on a brave face as she moves on with her life after her marriage split with Eamonn.

On Thursday night, Ruth enjoyed a night out as she attended Giovanni Pernice and Anton du Beke’s London stage show, Together.

Ruth was invited by her close friend Anton, 57, and beamed as she posed in a photo beside him at the end of the night.

Alongside the snap, Ruth wrote: “Great night watching Giovanni and Anton. Go and see it if you can. Fantastic dancers, fantastic singers, fantastic band. ” In another Instagram story post, she wrote: “Thanks for inviting me Partner. If one of the dancers need a day off you know where I am.”

It comes after a source told The Mirror that Eamonn’s new friend is in it for the long haul. The source close to Katie said: “She is helping Eamonn through the tough times but doesn’t want to be seen as a marriage wrecker. The friendship has grown in recent months but Eamonn’s marriage has been over for some time.

“She wants to help Eamonn with his situation and their friendship has grown over a period of time. She feels she will be close to him for a long period and is in this for the long haul.”

Katie is a mother-of-three and a marriage counsellor. She was spotted driving to and from his luxury flat last week and was named at the weekend as someone helping him through the pain of an impending divorce.

Last month, it emerged Eamonn and Ruth had split after 14 years of marriage and are to divorce. Cracks had started to appear in their relationship and they had not been photographed together for two years.

According to reports, former This Morning host Eamonn moved out of his marital home in Surrey last month after wife Ruth Langsford found messages between him and another mystery woman on a laptop.

Katie met Eamonn on X formerly known as Twitter in 2015 after she commented on a post and it sparked a conversation. Last October he attended a charity fund raising event in Yorkshire — close to Katie’s home — and became a patron. The counsellor has worked for the charity as a therapist.

Eamonn and Ruth met in 1997 when they were introduced by mutual friends and they then dated for over a decade before Eamonn popped the question and they married in 2010. Eamonn and Ruth’s spokesman declined to comment when approached by The Mirror.
