Ruth Langsford reveals she is ‘fuming’ over Eamonn Holmes’ vile actions towards Maggie to ‘get back’ at her: ‘He even let his mistress ride on Maggie’s back! I’m about to go crazy with anger’

Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes are both besotted with adorable Collie cross dog, Maggie, who they shared during their marriage.

However, now that it’s all over after an almost three-decade long relationship, they are thought to be battling it out over who will have custody of the canine.

Meanwhile, Ruth shared an update on Instagram today about her beloved Maggie, fuming that she has to be separated from her while she’s hard at work on her QVC fashion projects.

The Loose Women star reposted a story originally published by fellow star Will Gowing, boasting that – from 3pm today on QVC Style.

There will be hours of valuable fashion footage.

“Two hours of @ruthlangsford fashion today… join me and @samovens, sadly we’re not allowed to bring our dogs!” it was captioned. Ruth wrote in response:

“Stupid rule!” before adding: “Have a great show x.”

A floral arrangement company softened the blow slightly when they gifted her some gorgeous pink peonies – but soft-hearted Ruth is thought to often be upset when she has to leave Maggie behind. Sources previously suggested that the dog is “like a daughter” to both her and Eamonn.

That’s something which could make things difficult when it comes to custody arrangements. Meanwhile, just last year, Ruth was in floods of tears as she pictured the idea of Maggie – a rescue dog – dying in the near future.

She was triggered by seeing a Coronation Street storyline play out, featuring character Evelyn (Maureen Lipman) facing the prospect of putting her dog down due to illness.

It triggered fears about Maggie, whom she fretted was looking “a bit grey”.

She is now 14, which in human years equates to almost 80 – and Ruth dabbed at her eyes with a tissue as her emotions overwhelmed her.

“I cant bear it. I’m a massive Corrie fan… oh god!” she exclaimed.

It turns out Ruth was even more emotional than the actress during the tear-jerking scenes.

“I was watching it and actually Maureen has written today saying she didn’t even need a tear stick from the make-up artist,” she exclaimed, contradicting that she personally couldn’t “see through the tears”

Ruth and Eamonn first adopted little Maggie as a pup after being introduced to her at a 10th anniversary event for the Uxbridge Dogs Trust Centre – and she hasn’t looked back since.

Although she and Eamonn have now called it a day after 14 years of marriage and 27 years of dating, it’s certain that their “daughter” Maggie will not be neglected as a result of the split.
