During sentencing the woman slouched in her seat, propped her head on her hand and stared down at the ground while seeming to flick off the judge and those present

A mum unleashed a foul-mouthed tirade in court branding the judge and courtroom “garbage” and yelling “f**k you all”.

Julissa Thaler from the US state of Minnesota will spend the rest of her days behind bars without the chance of parole for the cold-blooded killing of her little boy, Eli Hart.

Thaler was found guilty of both first and second-degree murder for shooting Eli nine times with a shotgun back in May 2022.

As the judge delivered her fate, Thaler couldn’t hold back her fury, erupting: “I’m innocent. F**k you all. You’re garbage. That is all, your honour.”

Her explosive comments didn’t sit well with Hennepin County District Judge Jay Quam who chastised her, saying such remarks were out of line, reports the Mirror. Unrepentant, Thaler shot back that she was merely speaking the truth.

In his address, Judge Quam highlighted the heinous nature of Thaler’s crime, saying while losing a child is a parent’s worst nightmare, it’s an even darker reality when someone actively robs that child from the world.

He admitted no punishment he could impose would ever make up for the agony inflicted by Thaler or bring any semblance of justice to the horrific situation. Consequently, Thaler received a life term without parole.

Throughout the sentencing, Thaler slouched in her seat, propping her head on her hand and staring down at the ground. She seemed to flick off the judge and those present before being led out of the courtroom.

Nikita Kronberg, the former foster mother of Eli Hart, was left devastated, saying: “[Eli] meant the world to so many people.

He was so kind and amazing. Always had a smile on his face. He made friends so easily and wanted to explore all the time.”

The tragic tale unfolded when cops were alerted to a motorist driving with a missing tyre and a shattered rear windshield on May 19, 2022.

Upon pulling over the vehicle, officers discovered Julissa Thaler covered in flesh and blood inside her car.

Thaler spun a yarn to the police, claiming the blood came from a tampon and that the flesh was deer meat she’d picked up from a butcher, as per reports by KMSP.

After a brief investigation lasting only half an hour, the officers escorted Thaler back to her residence.

Tragically, it was later that they found young Eli’s remains in the boot of her car, next to what is believed to be the murder weapon, a shotgun.

In a shocking twist, it was revealed that Thaler had been granted full custody of Eli just 10 days before his death.

Despite Eli’s father, Tony Hart, raising alarms about Thaler’s drug misuse and mental health issues, his concerns were dismissed by the judiciary.

Now, Mr Hart is pursuing justice through a wrongful death lawsuit against Dakota County staff who awarded custody to Thaler, with the hearing scheduled for a federal court in 2024.
