Miley Cyrus broke down into tears during her emotional interview on ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’ when the two discussed helping others in need.

During an emotional interview on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Miley Cyrus “was upset”, and broke down in tears while talking with the host.

Some celebs use their fortunes to found business empires, and along with other stars, they might also spend their money in numerous other ways, like shopping, favorite hobbies and/or activism.

. After rising to fame on the show, she left Disney and soon emerged with her own solo career, changing her look and sound.

Cyrus also started her own foundation to help others, The Happy Hippie Foundation. According to the website, “The Happy Hippie Foundation is a nonprofit organization founded by Miley Cyrus

. Our mission is to rally young people to fight injustice facing homeless youth, LGBTQ youth and other vulnerable populations.”

While appearing on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, singer Miley Cyrus announced she would be making a personal donation to help those affected by Hurricane Harvey.

When the singer appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, DeGeneres brought up Cyrus’ foundation.

“I want to put a spotlight on The Happy Hippie Foundation, because that is your foundation, and you do so much good.”

The host continued, “And what Miley is doing today, Miley has just told us backstage, she’s donating $500,000 to Hurricane Harvey Relief, so $500,000. You’re amazing.” the host said to Cyrus as the audience applauded.

As the started to discuss the topic, the Wrecking Ball singer became emotional. Cyrus was moved to tears as she discussed those who had lost “everything”.

Miley Cyrus also announced she was making a donation on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. The star also sent donations going towards her foundation, The Happy Hippie Fund to those affected by Hurricane Harvey.

During her interview with Ellen DeGeneres, the host brought up the We Can’t Stop singer’s foundation, and mentioned that Miley Cyrus was donating $500,000 to help those who’d been affected by Hurricane Harvey.

When the host brought up the topic, Cyrus became emotional, and broke down into tears.

“Thank you, I just, it’ll make me cry,” Cyrus began. Turning to Ellen, she seemed to be fighting back the urge to cry. As Cyrus spoke, her voice cracked, and her eyes filled with tears.

While talking to the host, the singer broke down and was in tears, choking up while she spoke. “So I can’t really talk about it, I don’t know why it makes me so upset. It just really makes me, just really upset.”

The Hannah Montana actress said that she truly wanted to help those who needed it the most.

“You know, my grandma’s sitting here, my mom’s here, and I go home to my seven dogs. And if I didn’t have that anymore, it’d just be really hard.”

In tears, she added that she couldn’t imagine losing everything in her life.

“So, I’m really happy to help in any way that I can, and I hope people understand that I can put myself in those people’s shoes and just know what it feels like to have everything taken away from you.”
