Loose Women’s Kaye Adams had to swiftly step in with a warning for the show’s viewers when guest Nigel Farage failed to turn up on time.

The British politician and jungle celebrity was slated to grace the Loose Women set on Friday (June 28), but his tardiness led to an empty chair during his expected segment.

Kaye broke the news to the studio audience and those tuning in from home, revealing that Farage was not “in the building”.

Despite the hiccup, the show carried on, with discussions shifting to Dame Kelly Holmes’ recent coming out and the significance of Pride.

Joining Kaye on the panel were Gloria Hunniford and Jane Moore.

Kaye grilled Farage on Loose Women about vile comments made by a supposed Reform UK member, captured by an undercover Channel 4 journalist during Clacton’s MP campaign. Despite condemning the language, Farage claimed the individual was an “actor”.

He explained to the panel: “I saw the footage last night and thought no one speaks like that. It was just stream after steam, no one speaks like that.

“It turns out, he is an actor, I found his website. He’s a well spoken actor and he does something called rough speaking.”

However, Kaye and Jane couldn’t hide their astonishment at the idea of an actor being used in such a way.
