This was evident when the Arnold Classic founder posted one of his signature selfie clips from the live event in Ohio.

However, what he did moments before walking to the stage made his eldest son, Patrick Schwarzenegger, laugh out loud.

The seven-time Mr. Olympia gives fans a front-row glimpse of the competitors every year. This year, Arnie walked up to the front of the stage and filmed a clip during Hadi Choopan’s individual posing.

However, the video also captured that the bodybuilding icon had no idea how smartphones work because he didn’t even realize he had started the recording.

Arnold Schwarzenegger needed Christopher’s help

The clip began with Arnold Schwarzenegger pointing the selfie camera at himself. However, the Austrian Oak has no idea he has already pressed ‘record’ and asks his son Christopher, “What do I press?” 

Patrick Schwarzenegger found this little incident to be hilarious. The 30-year-old quoted his dad in the comments and even put a laughing emoticon beside it.

In the clip, the 76-year-old showed Patrick’s younger brother the phone. After Christopher Schwarzenegger said Arnie was already recording, the Arnold Classic founder walked to the stage to record Hadi Choopan posing.

The seven-time Olympia admired the fellow former Mr. Olympia winner’s physique and called him “a monster” who was “incredible” on stage.

The fans got a close-up glimpse of the Persian Wolf thanks to Schwarzenegger.

During his appearance on the talk show, the 30-year-old explained that his father’s thumbs were too big for any smartphone.

Thanks to his thumbs, Arnold Schwarzenegger, found it difficult to text people using a phone. So he switched to an iPad. Since then, the bodybuilding icon stopped using smartphones.

The 76-year-old also isn’t a fan of texting. Hence, whenever Arnold Schwarzenegger needs to talk to people, he FaceTimes them instead. Arnie’s FUBAR co-star Fortune Feimster also mentioned this during an interview.

So it’s not so surprising that the Austrian Oak would have trouble knowing if he started recording the clip.

Despite being privy to his father’s troubles with smartphones, Patrick Schwarzenegger couldn’t hold back his laughter.
