The jazz album includes 12 tracks of classic songs, some of which were written by Cole Porter for Frank Sinatra and Broadway shows. Both Gaga and Bennett have two solo tracks on the album, with trumpet player Brian Newman also making an appearance during the performance. The duo first crossed paths nearly ten years ago when Bennett saw Gaga perform “Orange Colored Sky” by Nat King Cole at a charity event.
Incredible: Gaga and Bennett each have two individual songs on the album, with the addition of trumpet player Brian Newman, who also performed during the live show.
Exciting: The Academy Award winner delivered an exceptional performance that left the audience in awe. They first collaborated on the album Cheek to Cheek in 2014, and later reunited for Love For Sale. In a heartfelt revelation in February, Bennett’s family shared that he had been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s.
His wife, Susan Crow, revealed that his symptoms began in 2016 and worsened two years later. Despite his condition, she noted that when he sings, he transforms back into the Tony they know and love. Reflecting on their collaboration, Lady Gaga expressed her astonishment at being considered a natural jazz singer by the legendary Tony Bennett.
