American Idol‘s Hollywood week is known to be extremely grueling for the contestants. So, to alleviate some of that stress, judge Katy Perry took it upon herself to lead a group singalong of her optimistic hit “Teenage Dream.” However, Katy was feeling herself a little too much and, well, next thing we knew, the singer suffered a wardrobe malfunction in which the back of her pants split wide open.

Katy didn’t seem too bothered by the fact that her backside was on display in a theater full of contestants and crew members, probably because it wasn’t the first time it happened.

Idol fans will remember the wardrobe malfunction during Katy’s first season, in 2018, when the singer flashed her backside during an audition in front of everyone on set. And just like that incident, Luke Bryan came to her rescue while Lionel Richie was just straight up embarrassed.

“Can I get some gaffer tape?” she shouted, while a couple of intrepid stagehands and a wide-eyed Luke got to work taping up the hole in her rock ‘n’ roll pants with neon-yellow industrial adhesive. And the unfazed Katy stayed in those taped-up trousers for the remainder of Monday’s two-hour Hollywood Week kickoff episode.
