Production on Reacher Season 3 is underway in Ontario and the show’s lead character has been spotted shooting scenes around Toronto.
Fans of the Amazon Prime Video show have been seeing Alan Ritchson around the Greater Toronto Area over the past few days and have been sharing updates and photos online.
Ritchson has been in Ontario since January working on the new season and fans have been loving any updates they get from the actor.
On February 8, @andrewbent tweeted photos of Ritchson filming a scene in downtown Toronto around The Esplanade, east of Church Street.
On February 11, @CraigDax25 shared photos of production trucks parked at Liberty Meadows Park in Toronto. A sign on the door reads Chimp 3, which is the working title for Reacher.
The same X account shared a follow-up tweet on February 12 saying that they saw a “base camp set up at the Small Arms Academy building,” which is located on Lake Shore Blvd W.
Fans haven’t been the only ones sharing updates on filming.
Ritchson himself has shared some fun behind-the-scenes photos on his Instagram and even poked fun at Toronto’s winter weather and how much he hates the cold.
He’s also shared photos from filming in Maine.
While casting details about Season 3 have been under wraps for months, two new cast members were announced on February 8.
Variety reports Anthony Michael Hall and Sonya Cassidy have joined the series as regulars for Season 3.
According to the outlet, Hall will play Zachary Beck, a “successful businessman” who owns a “rug import company that Reacher and his associates believe is covering for a more nefarious operation.”
Cassidy will play Susan Duffy, a DEA agent from Boston.
Esquire also reports that Maria Sten, who has been in Seasons 1 and 2 as Master Sergeant Francis Neagly, will also be back for Season 3.
The upcoming season will be based on Lee Child’s seventh Reacher novel, Persuader.
A release date for Season 3 has yet to be announced.
