Reacher Season 3 is already in the works at Prime Video with Alan Ritchson returning, as well as some new faces as new cast members have been announced.
Each season of Reacher is a different installment of Lee Child’s book series and works as a standalone entry. For the past two seasons, the character always leaves the town or city he has wreaked havoc in and becomes a drifter once again. Season 2 had Reacher buy a year-round bus ticket as he left to explore the United States once again.
It was recently announced that Reacher would get a Season 3 and adapt Child’s book “Persuader.” Ritchson is set to return to his leading role as the ex-military investigator and has already teased tidbits of the new season.
Alongside Ritchson, Season 3 has been announced to have cast new actors to play important characters from the original book.
Reacher Season 3 gets two new characters
Anthony Michael Hall and Sonya Cassidy will star in Reacher Season 3 as Zachary Beck and Sarah Duffy.
As reported by Deadline, the two actors have been cast in Season 3 as pivotal characters in Reacher’s new adventure. For the new season, Reacher is once again entangled in someone else’s problem. He goes undercover to save an informant.
Sarah Duffy is a tough-as-nails DEA agent whose mistake put her informant in trouble and short on time. She asks Reacher for help and will encounter Zachary Beck. Beck is described as a successful businessman, a widower, and a father to his 20-year-old son.
“He is the owner of a rug import company that Reacher and his cohorts suspect is a cover for a more nefarious operation,” reported Deadline.
As Ritchson teased fans on Instagram, the new season takes Reacher to Maine where he will take on a crime lord’s fortified waterfront fortress. Amid his rescue missions and learning some truths, he also faces his past.
You may be wondering why Anthony Michael Hall sounds so familiar. The actor is known for the cult classic teen movies Sixteen Candles and The Breakfast Club. He also starred in Halloween (2018) and Halloween Kills. Sonya Cassidy is a British actor who has starred in Olympus, Lodge, and The Man Who Fell to Earth.
