It was an emotional night for Lady Gaga, who collected the awards for both Best Song for Shallow from A Star Is Born and Best Actress – tied with The Wife star Glenn Close.
When her name was called, Gaga turned to kiss her fiancé Christian Carino, before embracing Bradley sitting on the other side of her.
Emotional: Lady Gaga branded her co-star and the film’s director Bradley per the ‘love of my life’ as she picked up her Best Actress prize at the Critics’ Choice Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday
She gave a shout-out to her partner, declaring, ‘Thank you, Christian, my love. Thank you’, before going on to call Bradley ‘the love of my life’.
The multi-talented performer branded Cooper a ‘magical filmmaker’, lauding him for his directorial debut.
She enthused: ‘You are just as magical of a human being. I have never had an experience with a director or an actor like I had with you.
She said of director and co-star Bradley Cooper: ‘You seamlessly were both the love of my life and the man behind the camera’

Gaga then talked about her role as aspiring singer Ally in the tearjerking film.
‘It was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done, to relive something I’m not quite sure that I wanted to relive.
‘But I want to thank one thing most foremost, I want to thank life, I want to thank life for the experiences I had to draw from to create this role.’
Fighting back tears, Gaga said: ‘It was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done, to relive something I’m not quite sure that I wanted to relive’
She ended by dedicating her award to those who suffer from alcoholism, like Bradley’s character in the movie.
‘I would like to dedicate this award tonight to all people who have suffered from alcohol addiction and have watched their loved ones suffer,’ she said. ‘This is the true star of the film. The true star is not me, it is bravery and perseverance.’
While unusual, ties are not unknown at the Critics’ Choice Awards, and indeed Gaga and Close were not the only tie of the night.
Patricia Arquette and Amy Adams shared the gong for Best Actress in a TV Movie, giving a joint acceptance speech.
