A lot of people lost their money in Bernie Madoff’s $50 billion Ponzi scheme, including actor Kevin Bacon and his wife Kyra Sedgwick. Coping from such a huge loss is certainly tough but the two had the best way to handle it: by having s*x. The actor once revealed that they decided to have s*x when they lost their money because it is “free.”

Actor Kevin Bacon and his wife Kyra Sedgwick invested most of their hard-earned money in Bernie Madoff’s $50 billion Ponzi scheme, but unfortunately, the scheme turned out to be fake and the two lost that money. The amount was huge and it was certainly hard to cope with, however, they had a simple way. In a Q&A with GQ, Bacon said (via Fox News),
“I don’t think there was a moment where it was like, that thing happened and then we got pissed at each other. It was sort of the opposite – We kind of went, ‘Holy s**t. Let’s… I don’t know. Let’s have s*x or something. It’s free!”
The amount of money they lost was never revealed but Bacon did say that they invested “a lot of money.” The couple didn’t let this financial loss destroy their lives as they worked hard again to recover from it.

During his appearance on SmartLess podcast, Bacon explained that he and his wife saw the money loss as a life lesson. He said,
“There’s obvious life lessons there. You know, if something is too good to be true, it’s too good to be true,” Bacon recalled. “When something like that happens, you know, you look at each other, then you go, ‘Well, that sucks.
Let’s roll up our sleeves and get to work,’ you know? – We’ve made it this far. Our kids are healthy. We’re healthy. Let’s look at what we have that’s good.”
Bacon got married to Kyra Sedgwick in 1988, around the time he was gaining popularity in the industry. They have two children, Travis Sedgwick and Sosie Ruth.
