Although many actors are considered by fans as possible candidates to play the next Dark Knight, there is one who has started a campaign very early for DC Studios to give him the opportunity to become the new Batman: Alan Ritchson.
The protagonist of Reacher wanted to emphasize his love for this publisher, although it seems that his affection for the competition is completely the opposite.
In an interview with GQ, Ritchson spoke about the films produced by Marvel Studios. From his point of view, this production company’s films are usually quite boring. He confessed that, when trying to watch one of this genre, he yawns and gets bored quickly due to the predictability of many of them.
“Like everyone, I sit and yawn at Marvel movies that regurgitate comic book stories we’ve seen thousands of times because it’s the only way studios can make money. I want to be a solution; I want to do something about it. So I take advantage of all my possibilities to create new and attractive stories. That’s my mission.”
Paradoxically, several weeks ago it was revealed that Ritchman was on the verge of becoming Thor, but due to his lack of enthusiasm during casting, the role of the God of Thunder ended up in the hands of Chris Hemsworth. Still, Ritchson’s words are increasingly resonating with many viewers.
The continuous formula that has maintained Marvel Studios Since its inception it has led to the origin films of its superheroes following an almost identical structure. However, during the writers’ strike, the company scrambled to make changes, signaling a possible change of direction in the narrative and style of its upcoming projects.
