The content of the new film is not much different from the previous part, when John Wick must destroy the enemies who stand in his way to gain freedom.

3. There is a change of screenwriter

Fans of the John Wick franchise know that Derek Kolstad wrote the original script for “John Wick” and the film’s two sequels tell the story of the former assassin.

But for this movie, Derek is no longer involved in the script writing process. John Wick 4 is written by the duo Shay Hatten and Michael Finch.

However, fans do not need to worry too much, because Shay Hatten also participated in writing the script for John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum (2019) with Derek Kolstad and the film was very successful.

4. The premiere date was delayed twice

John Wick 4 was scheduled to be released on May 27, 2022. However, Lionsgate announced that the film’s release date has been postponed to March 24, 2023, via a teaser video. short, released on December 23, 2021.

The delay itself is not the first time it has happened.  Previously, the film was also scheduled to release on May 21, 2021, but was postponed to May 27, 2022 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

5. Recognized by Keanu as the most difficult film 

Keanu Reeves once declared at the Comic Con Experience 2022 event in Brazil that John Wick 4 was the most difficult movie he acted in.

According to him, part 4 of the John Wick series  is the most difficult film he has ever played in terms of action.  But thanks to this,  the movie becomes interesting.

6. Chad Stahelski is still directing the film

It can be said that Chad’s relationship with the John Wick franchise is very close, as this is his first film as a director for now.

Before becoming a director, Chad Stahelski himself participated in film production as a stuntman.  He replaced Brandon Lee (the ill-fated actor who passed away due to being shot during the production of the movie  The Crow) in some scenes to complete the film.

In addition to all the John Wick films, Chad has also directed several other films such as  Bruised,  Day Shift  and  Ballerina.

John Wick 4 itself is known to have released two trailers. The first trailer was released on November 11, 2022, while the final trailer was released on February 16, 2023 on Lionsgate’s official YouTube channel.
