Former NFL wide receiver Antonio Brown made it very clear how he feels about Donald Trump following Saturday’s horrifying assassination attempt on the former president.
Donald Trump was holding a rally near Butler, Pennsylvania on Saturday when shots suddenly rang out. Secret Service agents quickly rushed to the stage to shield Trump, who was seen bleeding from the ear. The 78-year-old returned to his feet and raised his fist to the crowd to let them know he was alright.
Trump was treated at the hospital and released soon afterward. The shooter, later identified as 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks, was shot and killed by the Secret Service Counter Assault Team.
Following Trump’s survival of the terrifying shooting, Antonio Brown took to X/Twitter and offered several messages of support for the Republican nominee (WARNING: Tweets below contain language that is NSFW):
Antonio Brown has also been a heavy critic of U.S. President and Democratic nominee Joe Biden and vice president Kamala Harris. So yes, it’s rather clear who the former NFL wide receiver is voting for come the Nov. 5 election.
Biden condemned the shooting of his opponent, stating that they “are not enemies” and that Americans “must stand together.” Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, President of France Emmanuel Macron and U.K. Prime Minister Keir Starmer are among the world leaders who condemned the shooting as well.
Trump vs. Biden marks only the seventh presidential election rematch in the history of the United States and the first since 1956. That year, Dwight D. Eisenhower defeated Adlai Stevenson II to retain his seat in office.
Donald Trump Would Make History With Victory Over Joe Biden
If Trump defeats Biden, he would become just the second president to serve two non-consecutive terms. Grover Cleveland is the only president in that club, having served from 1885 to ’89 and again from 1893 to ’97. Benjamin Harrison was in office between Cleveland’s two terms.
