Kylie Jenner and Timothee Chalamet couldn’t hide their affection at the Golden Globes. Not only did the makeup mogul attend as his official date, but footage of the couple sharing a sweet kiss has gone viral, solidifying them as one of Hollywood’s hottest (and most talked about) couples currently.
However, Kylie apparently wasn’t afraid to become protective of her man during the awards show, as a new report claims she told Selena Gomez off after becoming concerned the actress was getting too close to Timothee.
One video has been circulating online that appears to show Selena whispering something to Taylor Swift and Keleigh Teller, Miles Teller’s wife and Taylor’s date for the evening.
Fans Accuse Selena Of Trying To Play The Victim
Though it’s not clear what the women were saying, some Internet sleuths believe Selena was mentioning Timothee and Kylie – and a potentially awkward run-in she had with them that evening.
Some fans suggest that Selena said she asked Timothee for a photo, but Kylie refused on his behalf before they could get one. At one point, it seems Keleigh clearly says, “With Timothee?” to which Selena responds with a nod.
Some social media users reflected on how the moment was relatable. “Selena so real. Whenever something happens to me i’m running straight to my girls,” one person wrote.
However, others accused Selena of trying to spin the situation in her favor, with one critic saying, “One thing about Selena Gomez if she’s involved you KNOW she gon be the victim.”
“Selena try not to make everything about yourself challenge: impossible,” another comment said.
Selena and Kylie have had conflict in the past, and not just over boys. Both Kylie and Kendall Jenner are close friends to Hailey Baldwin, now Hailey Bieber, who married Justin Bieber after his years-long on-and-off relationship with Selena. There’s still reportedly bad blood between the Biebers and Selena, or at least fans remain convinced.
Last year, it was reported that Kylie and Hailey lost millions of followers after they appeared to poke fun of Selena’ eyebrows in a TikTok. This can translate into the loss of multi-millions in revenue for both celebrities, considering how much they make in sponsorships from social media.
Kylie And Timothee Are Supportive Of Each Other’s Careers

Though Kylie may have felt threatened by Selena, things seem stronger than ever between her and Timothee. A recent source said the couple are supportive of each other’s careers, as evidenced by her attendance at the Golden Globes.
“He is very supportive of her career and she of his. They both try to attend important events for each other,” a source said last month.
Though there have been claims that Timothee is struggling with Kylie’s high-profile lifestyle, at the very least, they’re clearly trying to be make things work.
