Angel Reese & other WNBA players react to Cameron Brink’s boyfriend and celeb-filled photo dump

The highly-anticipated battles between Angel Reese and Cameron Brink went down the drain on Jun. 18. Brink’s season-ending ACL injury robbed fans of clashes from two of the best forwards in this year’s draft class. While Reese tries to push the Chicago Sky to the playoffs, Brink can only cheer for the LA Sparks from the sidelines.

Following the injury that left her unable to walk without assistance, Brink promptly underwent a surgical procedure. She has been posting updates on Instagram about her rehabilitation and recovery.

On Monday, she went on IG to “dump” some of her photos. Brink’s boyfriend Ben Felter, Arnold Schwarzenegger, beach volleyball star Chloe Brown and artist St. Vincent appeared in the collection.

Angel Reese did not say anything but reacted with heart emojis. The LA Sparks were more expressive:

Cameron Brink’s fellow players, teammates and friends have shown strong support for her during her recovery from the injury. Being sidelined from playing can be challenging and requires significant patience.Brink’s last photo likely captured what she must be hanging on to:

Angel Reese and Cameron Brink met just once this season

Late in May, the basketball world got its first look at a matchup that is expected to be a major draw in the WNBA. The LA Sparks were in Chicago to face the Sky. Basketball fans finally got their long-awaited wish to see Angel Reese and Cameron Brink going head-to-head.

But rookies had solid outings but the Sky cruised to an 83-73 victory, their first home win in the season. Reese had six points, six rebounds, three assists and two steals. Chicago’s Marina Mabrey starred for the host, scattering 20 points highlighted by 6-for-11 shooting from deep.

Cameron Brink almost had a similar output as Reese. The Sparks forward finished with seven points, six rebounds, two assists, two steals and one block. Dearica Hamby led the way for the visitors with 24 points, 13 rebounds, three assists and three steals.

Angel Reese has improved since that meeting. The “Chi Barbie” earned an All-Star selection and has been breaking records. Fans will be interested to see how Cameron Brinks fares against her when they face each other again next season.
