As she finishes up her rookie season in the WNBA, Angel Reese is expanding her brand off the court. On Tuesday morning, the Chicago Sky forward announced her newest venture.
Reese is joining the wave of many current and former players by breaking into the podcasting space. She posted a short intro video on X (formerly Twitter), promoting her “Unapologetically Angel” show.

The episodes are set to release on Thursdays, with the first one coming out on Sept. 5. Based on the content in the hype video, the standout rookie will likely talk about her life in and around basketball.
Angel Reese was named an All-Star earlier this year and is considered a favorite for the WNBA’s Rookie of the Year award. This season, Reese is averaging 13.5 points, 12.9 rebounds and 1.8 assists.
Angel Reese made multiple social media posts to promote her new podcast
After the debut post from the show’s account went live, Angel Reese began promoting her new venture on her personal handle as well. She uploaded multiple stories on her Instagram regarding the podcast.
The first upload was a re-share of a post from the show’s page, detailing all the different platforms that it can be followed on.
Angel Reese also made a video that she uploaded on her Instagram story to further talk about the show:
“I’m super excited to be announcing my podcast ‘Unapologetically Angel,’ I’m looking forward to this so much. Y’all going to see y’all favorite celebrities, actress, artists, anybody that y’all wanna see.
“We going to be spilling the team from our voice, our narrative, our perspective.”
Angel Reese has already proven to be one of the top up-and-coming stars in the WNBA, and now, she is going to test her luck in the podcasting world. Seeing that she has four million followers on Instagram alone, the show should have a strong listener base from day one.
Aside from her upcoming podcast release, Reese is looking to help lead the Sky to a postseason berth. With about 11 games left in the season, Chicago currently holds the eighth and final playoff spot. However, the ninth-place Atlanta Dream trails them by only one game.
During her first season in the WNBA, Reese’s rebounding has been one of the standout areas of her game. Over the weekend, she tallied her third straight 20-rebound game after coming down with 22 boards against the Las Vegas Aces. Reese currently leads the entire league in rebounds per game at 12.9.
