Their skill sets complimented each other very well, with Lacie Hull being a highly regarded passer coming out of high school, while Lexie Hull was an aggressive scorer on the offensive end.

As twins, the two often got confused during their youth but their complementary skills on the basketball court helped them stand out while playing alongside one another.

The Hull sisters’ mom Jaime shared a humorous reply to an X post that mistook Lexie and Lacie during their high school and college days.

The two went on to play together at Stanford, making their impact felt immediately as freshmen. Lacie earned Pac-12 All-Freshman honors and the Cardinal won the Pac-12 Championship, seeing strong efforts from their freshman duo of twin sisters.

In their second season, Lexie Hull moved into a starting role for Stanford while Lacie played a key role as both a starter and a role player. Lexie Hull earned All-Pac-12 and Pac-12 All-Defense honors while her sister averaged over 20 minutes per game coming off the bench, earning 18 starts and finishing top 20 in the Pac-12 in defensive win shares.

In their third season, the Cardinal won their first national championship in 29 years, with Lexie Hull earning All-Pac-12 and Pac-12 All-Defense honors for the second-straight season. Lacie Hull moved to the bench full-time but still made her presence felt on the defensive end, playing over 15 minutes per game.

During the Hull sisters’ senior season, Lacie became a full-time starter alongside Lexie. Lacie finished in the top 10 in the conference in defensive rating and Lexie earned All-Pac-12 and Pac-12 All-Defense honors for the third-straight season.

Life after Stanford basketball for Lexie and Lacie Hull

After a legendary career at Stanford, Lexie Hull went on to be selected with the No. 6 pick in the 2022 WNBA Draft by the Fever while her sister elected not to pursue professional basketball.

After helping Stanford to a record of 116-16, Lacie decided to pursue a career in e-commerce during her senior season. She started her career in e-commerce working for eBay, the multinational online marketplace, in Austin, Texas. Amid their separation, the two continued to communicate regularly with each other.

“Now, we talk with each other on every form of communication—FaceTime, phone calls, text, Snapchat, Instagram DMs, Tik Tok DMs, you name it,” Lacie said per Athletes Unlimited.

As for Lexie, she is looking to continue her development in Indiana and build on her potential as a former top-10 pick.
