One of the biggest names in the history of sports entertainment will be speaking at tonight’s Republican National Convention (RNC) before Donald Trump officially accepts the GOP’s presidential nomination.
According to a report from MSNBC, WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan is among the guests who will speak at tonight’s convention before Trump formally accepts the presidential nomination from the Republican Party:
“Two senior campaign officials confirmed to NBC News that Hulk Hogan will speak tonight at the RNC convention ahead of former President Trump formally accepting the GOP nomination for President of the United States.”
It’s not every day where you see a professional athlete/sports entertainment personality speak ahead of a national convention for a presidential nomination. As you’d expect, social media was losing their minds over news of Hogan’s upcoming appearance on the political stage:
Back in 2015, Hogan endorsed Trump for the first time when he told TMZ Sports that he wanted to be Trump’s running mate. Trump is a close friend of former WWE chairman Vince McMahon, who handpicked Hogan to be the face of the company during the wrestling boom in the ’80s.
Donald Trump survived an assassination attempt during a really near Butler, Pennsylvania last Saturday. He was shot in the ear by Thomas Matthew Crooks, a 20-year-old man that was killed by Secret Service Counter Assault Team.
Donald Trump Looks To Make History In 2024 Election
If Trump defeats Joe Biden in this year’s election, he’ll join Grover Cleveland in the exclusive club of U.S. Presidents who served two non-consecutive terms. Cleveland was in office from 1885 to 1889 and from 1893 to 1897, with Benjamin Harrison serving as president in between his two terms.
The 2024 election also marks the first presidential rematch since 1956, when Republican Dwight D. Eisenhower defeated Adlai Stevenson II of the Democratic Party to secure a second presidential term.
