Angel Reese surprised fans on Tuesday when she announced her podcast ‘Unapologetically Angel.’ The show’s episodes will come out every Thursday. Reese is one of the best players of the 2024 WNBA season and is set to try her luck in different fields, emulating what other athletes have done in recent years.
Her co-host, Maya Reese, gave others more details about the studio and seemingly the first episode of the upcoming show.
“secrets out. still freaking out. @angelreese5, you ready?! @unapologeticallyshow,” she captioned an Instagram post hyping up the podcast.

The show is set to premiere on Sept. 5 and will revolve presumably around Angel Reese’s life and basketball career. Moreover, she announced that more celebrities would attend the show.
Who is Angel Reese’s co-host, Maya Reese?
Angel Reese found a terrific partner for this project. For starters, Maya Reese, who isn’t related to the Chicago Sky rookie, is an Emmy Award winner. She’s worked on big sports networks such as NBC Sports, CBS, SB Nation and Overtime. Moreover, she’s been a podcast producer and co-host for Playmaker.
Angel Reese joins a star-studded list of basketball players with podcasts. They are LeBron James, Draymond Green, Trae Young, Patrick Beverley and even one of Reese’s biggest fans, Shaquille O’Neal.
Angel Reese hypes up upcoming podcast with multiple posts across social media
Angel Reese didn’t hesitate to show her excitement about this new venture, sharing several posts on her social media accounts, including X (formerly Twitter) and Instagram. The player shared several Instagram stories to talk about the project and give fans more detail about what they would see moving forward.
“I’m super excited to be announcing my podcast ‘Unapologetically Angel,’ I’m looking forward to this so much. Y’all going to see y’all favorite celebrities, actress, artists, anybody that y’all wanna see,” Reese said.
“We going to be spilling the team from our voice, our narrative, our perspective.”
Meanwhile, she keeps working hard to lead the Chicago Sky to the 2024 WNBA postseason. Reese excels as a rebounder and has recorded three consecutive games grabbing 20+ rebounds. Unfortunately, the Sky has been unable to win any of those games. Reese averages 13.5 points, 12.9 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.3 steals per game in 29 duels.
The Sky (11-18) sit eighth in the WNBA standings. However, the Atlanta Dream (10-19) could end up snatching that playoff berth in the final 11 games of the regular season.
