Titans QB Will Levis Releases Powerful Message For The Rest Of The NFL After Private Video Leak

Will Levis was projected to be a top-10 pick in last year’s 2023 NFL Draft, but the Kentucky product unexpectedly slipped out of the first round. Finally, he went 33rd overall to Tennessee after they traded up via the Arizona Cardinals.
The big-armed Levis started his rookie year behind veteran Ryan Tannehill but finished the season as Tennessee’s QB1. Levis went 3-6 with 1,808 passing yards and eight touchdowns against four interceptions.
During an interview with Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated, the second-year QB offered a powerful message about being motivated by those teams that passed on him a year ago:
“It definitely leaves a little bit of a chip on my shoulder and makes me want to go out there and work and keep showing people that teams might have made a mistake by not taking me. Hopefully I’m that guy that they talk about that did slip, and I can be that example for other kids that are in that same position in the green room like me.”
The only quarterbacks taken in the first round of last year’s draft were Bryce Young (first overall to the Carolina Panthers), CJ Stroud (second to the Houston Texans) and Anthony Richardson (fourth to the Indianapolis Colts). Levis himself was the only signal-caller drafted in round two.
Levis can take inspiration from longtime Green Bay Packer and current New York Jet Aaron Rodgers, who carved out a Hall of Fame career after shockingly falling to the Cheeseheads at No. 24 overall in 2005.
Titans Have Set Up Will Levis Nicely For Success In 2024
After firing head coach Mike Vrabel in a surprise move, the Titans hired Cincinnati Bengals offensive coordinator Brian Callahan as their new HC, hoping his offensive genius can help unlock Levis’ potential.
With DeAndre Hopkins already in place, the Titans further bolstered their offense by signing former Jacksonville Jaguars star Calvin Ridley to a four-year deal worth $92 million. They also brought in former Bengals standout Tyler Boyd and two-time 1,000-yard rusher Tony Pollard, who will replace Derrick Henry as the RB1.
With three capable 1,000-yard receivers and a workhorse running back at his side, the piece are there for Levis to break out in 2024.
