BREAKING: Rashee Rice’s Latest Police Investigation Takes Surprising Twist As Witnesses Come Forward

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice can’t seem to stay out of trouble these days, but there’s been a new twist in his most recent case that both he and his team will be happy about. 

Rice, who has been in legal hot water for several weeks following a bizarre decision to flee the scene of an accident he caused in Dallas, is also under investigation for assault. However, the newest developments suggest that he should be cleared.

According to MLFootball, witness statements have revealed that the altercation never turned physical.

Rice allegedly hit a photographer at the Lit Kitchen and Lounge in Dallas in the wee hours of Monday morning. A police report noted that the victim visited the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

Witnesses have since told investigators that there was a verbal confrontation between the two individuals, but Rice never touched anyone.

The Chiefs are expected to suspend the wideout for the accident and will regret the loss of his on-field contributions.

The 24-year-old has been a key asset for the reigning Super Bowl champions. He registered 79 receptions for 938 yards and seven touchdowns in his rookie season.

Chiefs head coach Andy Reid discussed the player’s legal issues, telling reporters that Rice was expected to participate in training.

“Yeah, listen, as long as he’s learned from it. That’s the important part of it,” he said, per Jordan Foote of Sports Illustrated. “We’ll take it from there and see what takes place, but right now we’re just kind of gathering everything and trying to make sure we have all the bases covered.”

While Rice could soon be cleared in his newest case, he still has to answer for the previous one. And the Chiefs could be faced with some big decisions.
