Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice has found himself in more hot water with the law.Just weeks removed from an incident in which he was wanted by police from leaving the scene of a crash he caused in Dallas, the player is now reportedly under investigation for assaulting a photographer at a club in the city on Monday.WFAA.com cites sources who claim the authorities are interviewing witnesses.The alleged assault is believed to have taken place at Lit Kitchen, as the address given is 609 N. Harwood Street.

Rice turned himself into the police in connection with the aforementioned car crash last month. He was taken to the DeSoto Jail and had a bond set at $40,000. He is also being sued for his part in the incident.

“Mr. Rashee Rice turned himself in today and was released on bond,” Royce West, his attorney said. “I want to re-emphasis Mr. Rice’s continued cooperation with law enforcement. Mr. Rice acknowledges his actions and feels deeply for those injured as a result of this accident.

“Our legal team is now tasked with reviewing all legal documents.”

The Chiefs WR is facing eight felony charges on that front, with six counts of collision involving bodily injury levied, as well as one count of collision involving serious bodily injury and one count of aggravated assault.

In Texas, collision involving bodily injury carries a punishment of imprisonment for not longer than five years, confinement in the the county jail for up to one year, a fine not exceeding $5,000, or both.

Collision involving serious bodily injury is a third-degree felony and carries a prison term of not more than 10 years and at least two years. Aggravated assault, a second-degree felony, can land one in prison for up to 20 years and a $10,000 fine.

The Chiefs are expected to impose a heavy suspension on the player, although head coach Andy Reid said he would participate in the team’s voluntary offseason program.

Chiefs’ Rashee Rice allegedly hit photographer at nightclub weeks after car crash incident

Rashee Rice could be facing new legal troubles.

Dallas police are investigating the Chiefs wide receiver for allegedly hitting a photographer at a local nightclub, WFAA reported on Tuesday. 

The alleged incident occurred early Monday morning at an address associated with Lit Kitchen and police are interviewing witnesses about the alleged assault.

Chiefs receiver Rashee Rice is accused of assaulting a photographer on Monday morning.APOne person was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and had visible swelling on the side of his face, The Dallas Morning News reported.

Officers had been dispatched around 2:30 a.m. and police officials confirmed to The Dallas Morning News that Rice was a suspect in the case.

No charges have been filed in connection with the incident.

The latest incident comes on the heels of Rice already facing major legal issues in connection to a multi-vehicle crash in Dallas in March, which sent two people to area hospitals and has led authorities to charge Rice – and SMU receiver Teddy Knox – with eight felony counts over the incident.

Rice is also being sued for $10 million in damages by two of the victims, Irina Gromova and Edvard Petrovskiy.

“Despite his physical abilities and responsibilities as a public figure, Rice raced a high-powered vehicle through the public roads of Dallas County, Texas, lost control, and injured several innocent people including the Plaintiffs in this cause,” part of the suit that was filed last month said.

Rice turned himself in to authorities in April in connection to the felony charges and was released on bond.

A statement by his lawyer, Royce West, said that Rice was cooperating with law enforcement in their investigation of the crash.
