S-Hawk’s one inability makes him inferior to Mihawk in One Piece.

SUMMARY

The most recent episode of the One Piece anime featured an intriguing combat between the Swordsman of the Straw Hat Pirates, Roronoa Zoro, and the Seraphim, S-Hawk.

Since the Seraphims lacked Haki’s might, Zoro was able to seize control of the battle with ease.
It is one of the primary reasons why S-Hawk lacks the true power that Mihawk possesses, which enabled him to defeat Red-Haired Shanks in One Piece.

The recent episode of the One Piece anime featured an intriguing battle between the Swordsman of the Straw Hat Pirates, Roronoa Zoro, and the mini version of the Strongest Swordsman in the world, Dracule Mihawk. Toei Animation and Eiichiro Oda blessed the fans with another epic moment of Roronoa Zoro, where he went toe to toe with the Seraphim S-Hawk.

Seraphims are based on the former Warlord of the Sea, and S-Hawk was inspired by Dracule Mihawk with some new modifications that enhance their fighting capabilities. A few episodes ago, fans saw S-Hawk giving a hard time to the Blackbeard Pirates, which in itself speaks for his immense strength and abilities.

However, Zoro was able to easily gain control of the fight because of one power that even the Seraphims do not possess. The power is Haki, and it is one of the main reasons why S-Hawk is nowhere close to the real power that Mihawk possesses, which helped him fight Red-Haired Shanks in One Piece.

Zoro’s Face-Off With S-Hawk in One Piece Anime

One Piece Episode 1105 gave a glimpse of the powers of the Seraphims, who were ordered to break into the laboratory of Dr. Vegapunk and stop them from escaping. While they were following their orders, Zoro decided to step in, stop S-Hawk, and compare his powers to those of the current strongest Swordsman in the world.

S-Hawk launched an attack on Lilith (one of Vegapunk’s satellites), but the attack was stopped by Zoro as he ran towards S-Hawk and got into a small fight with him. While fighting S-Hawk, Zoro mentioned that although he might look similar to Dracule Mihawk; he is more human than the former Warlord of the Sea.

However, before the fight could move any further, Edison (Vegapunk’s satellite) was able to order the Seraphims to stop the fight and ally with the Straw Hat Pirates. Although the fight was pretty short, it gave Zoro a decent idea of the strength of the Seraphims and how it was different from the original deal.

Haki Might Be The Major Difference Between S-Hawk and Mihawk

The Seraphims have been featured in quite a few battles now, and every time they have proved that they are the perfect clones of the former Warlords of the Sea, They have not only copied their original skills but modified them to make them stronger and better. However, they are not able to copy the Haki techniques.

While utilizing Haki and its techniques can be mostly learned through practice, the spiritual energy and willpower that are needed to harness Haki are things that come naturally to the body. And the Seraphims may be one of the strongest powers, but they are controlled and authorized by the World Government and the Navy.

Therefore, they ideally can’t possess Haki. It has already been established that Haki might be the main component in finding the One Piece treasure, and Dracule Mihawk possesses one of the strongest Haki in the entire One Piece. He has proven it multiple times during his battles against his rival Shanks.
