One Piece: Zoro Shares a Special Bond With Saint Nusjuro of The Gorosei That Makes Their Duel His Most Challenging Fight So Far (Theory)

SUMMARY

The battle between Roronoa Zoro and Ethanbaron V. Nusjuro will be one of the most epic battles in history of One Piece.

Both Zoro and V. Nusjuro wield the Kitetsu blade created by the members of the Kozuki family.
The theory states that Zoro and V. Nusjuro share a bond which might make Zoro’s fight against the Elder extremely difficult.

The Egghead Island arc in One Piece has ignited the fire of one of the biggest clashes in the history of the series. This battle features the swordsman of the Straw Hat Pirates, Roronoa Zoro, and the swordsman of the Five Elders, Saint Ethanbaron V. Nusjuro. Fans have been waiting for the two characters to fight since the introduction of the Five Elders.

One Piece chapter 1117, which was released recently, gave a glimpse of what the battle would look like, but since then, fans have been waiting for the next chapters to reveal more information about the clash. The fight between Zoro and V. Nusjuro holds a lot of importance because it could change the entire narrative of One Piece.

Not only that, the chapter has also revealed that both Zoro and V. Nusjuro carry the Kitetsu swords, which forms a special bond between the two. However, by the looks of it, V. Nusjuro’s blade is much stronger than Zoro’s Sandai Kitetsu, which makes his fight with the Elder the most challenging fight of his life.

Zoro and V. Nusjuro’s Swords in One Piece

During his adventures as the swordsman of the Straw Hat Pirates, Roronoa Zoro has wielded a lot of interesting and strong swords. However, his most interesting sword is the Sandai Kitetsu, which he picked up from a barrel in a shop in Loguetown. The sword was cursed, but Zoro, being Zoro, decided to test the curse of the sword, and ever since then, he has been using it.

During the Wano arc, Zoro learned that the sword was created by Kozuki Sukiyaki, the father of Kozuki Oden. It was there that the fans got to see the other Kitetsu sword, the Nidai Kitetsu, which is the second strongest Kitetsu sword in history and one of the 21 Great Grade swords. However, it is still safe in Wano.

Later on, in One Piece chapter 1117, it was revealed that even V. Nusjuro wielded a Kitetsu sword, and the only Kitetsu sword left at the time was the Shodai Kitetsu, which is the strongest Kitetsu sword in existence and also one of the 12 Supreme Grade swords. Also, just like the other two Kitetsu swords, Shodai Kitetsu is also cursed.

Roronoa Zoro’s Bond With V. Nusjuro

According to a theory posted by thatonepiecetalk on Instagram, there is a chance that the Shodai Kitetsu was also made by one of the ancestors of the Kozuki family. As both Nidai and Sandai Kitetsu swords are created by the members of the Kozuki family, it is only logical that the strongest sword among them is also made by a Kozuki.

The theory also states that this Kozuki member who created the Shodai Kitetsu was most likely from the Joy Boy period, and thus the sword landed with V. Nusjuro. Both swords being created by the members of the same family and sharing the same curse indirectly form a bond between their wielders, Zoro and V. Nusjuro.

However, this bond may not work in the favor of Zoro, as the swordsman of the Straw Hat Pirates has the weakest Kitetsu sword and V. Nusjuro carries the strongest Kitetsu sword, thus making this the most difficult battle for Zoro. He might have to combine the power of all three of his swords to defeat V. Nusjuro.
