The battle of Egghead Island arc is taking a new turn with every One Piece chapter, and fans have never been more excited to find out what the future holds for the Straw Hat Pirates. While the latest chapter hinted at Luffy gaining an advantage over the Gorosei because of Bonney’s Distorted Future, they still might need a lot more to escape from the island.

This is because Gorosei’s regenerative ability has made it difficult for Luffy and his allies to land a hurtful attack on the villains. And on top of that, it has already been established that there is a chance that the Five Elders might use the Ancient Weapon to destroy Egghead, depending on the outcome of the battle.

If the Five Elders used the Ancient Weapon, Egghead would vanish just like the Lulusia Kingdom with the Straw Hat Pirates and their allies on the island. However, there is a theory that prevents Gorosei from doing this, but it requires the sacrifice of one of the most unique Devil Fruit users. This user is none other than Admiral Kizaru.

Admiral Kizaru Struggles with Internal Dilemma

Ever since Kizaru was introduced in One Piece, he has been quite a laid-back character who is relaxed and a little lazy in terms of his duties as an Admiral. His unclear justice points towards his carefree attitude, and the character has always followed the orders without objecting to them or questioning them in any way.

However, the Egghead Island arc has made him struggle with an internal dilemma. Since the start of the narrative, Kizaru has been wondering whether he is doing right or wrong. He has spent a lot of time with Bonney, Vegapunk, Kuma, etc., and developed a bond with them, which makes him hesitant in his actions.

Kizaru understands the perspective of Kuma, Bonney, and Vegapunk, but his duty as an Admiral of the Navy forces him to abide by the rules and regulations and follow the orders given to him by his superiors (the Gorosei). However, there have been multiple One Piece theories that hint that Kizaru might choose to change sides.

Kizaru Might Sacrifice Himself

According to the One Piece theory, there is a strong chance that Admiral Kizaru might finally take the side of the Straw Hat Pirates and help them escape Egghead Island. However, in doing so, he might have to sacrifice himself because then he would have to face the wrath of the Gorosei and the Ancient Weapon.

It is already established that if the Straw Hat Pirates somehow manage to escape Egghead Island, the Gorosei might use the Ancient Weapon to launch a laser attack on the crew, just like Imu did with the Lulusia Kingdom. However, not even Luffy’s Gear 5 powers would be able to stop this attack, which means they have no defense.

The only person in One Piece who possesses immunity to such laser attacks is Kizaru because of his Pika Pika no Mi. Therefore, there is a strong chance that Kizaru may sacrifice himself and use his Devil Fruit powers to help the Straw Hat Pirates dodge the Ancient Weapon attacks and escape from Egghead Island.
