Kylian Mbappe will be unveiled by Real Madrid in next few days.
Madrid: The much-awaited transfer drama seems to have ended as French superstar Kylian Mbappe is set to join Real Madrid on a free transfer, according to reports on Sunday. Real Madrid have always kept an eye on the wonder kid since his Monaco days and tried to lure him into La Liga but Paris Saint-Germain stood in their way. Finally, the Spanish giants, who won the Champions League on Sunday, are able to fulfil their long-standing dream as all the contract documents between Mbappe and Real Madrid have reportedly been signed.

 

 

According to senior Italian journalist, Fabrizio Romano, Real Madrid will is likely to announce the arrival of Mbappe very soon, probably in the next few days. For the unknown, Mbappe at the beginning of the season had informed PSG about his decision to leave at the end of the summer. PSG President, Nasser Al-Khelaifi was furious with the decision and didn’t even allow the France World Cup winner to train with the first team until he signed a renewal.

Although Mbappe didn’t sign any contract renewal, the footballer was restored back into the side after several conversations. Thus, Mbappe becomes the latest footballing star to join the Los Blancos. He will also be joined by Brazillian prodigy Endrick, who will join the club in July.

The Frenchman through a video has already announced his exit from League 1 but decided to keep his next club secret. In a farewell message for the fans he said, “It’s a lot of emotions. (For) many years I had the chance and great honor to be a member of the biggest French club, one of the best in the world which allowed me to travel here.”

He also added, “It’s hard and I never thought it would be this difficult to announce that I will leave the country, France, the league and the Championship. But I think, I needed this, a new challenge after seven years.”

Mbappe joined PSG from AS Monaco in 2017 and went on to become the highest goal scorer at the club netting 255 goals in 305 appearances.
