Devil Fruits are one of the main power systems in One Piece, and they fall into three categories. Zoan-type Devil Fruits give their users the ability to transform into some type of animal. There are several sub-classes of Zoan. A Mythical Zoan allows the user to turn into some type of mythological beast or deity, and they possess more strength and durability than ordinary Zoan users. Only a handful of Mythical Zoan users have appeared in One Piece, and some of them are quite powerful.

Several of the strongest Mythical Zoan users are pirates. Two of them went on to become Yonko. The World Government is the main antagonistic force of the series, and many Mythical Zoan users are currently affiliated with them. The strongest Mythical Zoan users also seem to have exceptionally strong Haki.

Marco was the commander of the First Division of the Whitebeard Pirates. He was Whitebeard’s right-hand man, and he briefly led the crew after Whitebeard’s died. When the crew disbanded, Marco went to Whitebeard’s hometown and became a doctor. Marco’s pirating days seem to be over, but he is still a strong and capable fighter. He ate the Bird-Bird Fruit, Model: Phoenix – which allows him to transform into a fiery blue phoenix.

The flames possess immense healing properties – to the point that Marco can heal most injuries within seconds. Non-Haki attacks can phase through his body – which is a power typically associated with Logia-type Devil Fruits. Marco was able to fight Admiral Kizaru during the Summit War. King and Queen were Yonko Commanders and Marco was able to fight them both for a time during the Onigashima Raid in Wano.

9Yamato Can Briefly Fight On Par With A Yonko

Many One Piece fans believe Yamato should be the final Straw Hat, and if that were to happen, he would be the crew’s second Mythical Zoan user. He ate the Dog-Dog Fruit, Model: Okuchi-no-Makami – which gives him the ability to transform into an ancient wolf deity. This Devil Fruit is very important to the people of Wano because the wolf is the country’s guardian.

While using its power, Yamato can generate ice from his body, and he can shoot a blast of cold air that will freeze his enemies. Yamato is one of the few people in the world who can use all three types of Haki – which is not surprising since he is Kaido’s son. Admiral Ryokugyu admitted that Yamamoto’s Haki was very strong. Even more impressive is the fact that he was able to clash with his father – a Yonko – for a good amount of time.

Sengoku was the previous Fleet Admiral of the Marines, and other than Garp, he was the only Marine that Gol D. Roger considered worthy of his time. Sengoku may be in his late 70s, but he is still one of the strongest characters in One Piece, and he can obliterate a decent-sized pirate crew on his own. Thanks to the Human-Human Fruit, Model: Buddha, he can transform into a massive golden Buddha.

While in this form, Sengoku can generate powerful golden shockwaves with his palms. These shockwaves were able to send most of the Blackbeard Pirates flying a good distance away – which is impressive given the fact that they are all now Yonko Commanders. The shockwaves generated by the Tremor-Tremor Fruit can destroy an island, and Sengoku’s shockwaves are able to match them.

Kaido is the Governor General of the Beast Pirates, and he was recognized as the world’s strongest creature. He can use all three types of Haki, but he is also one of the few people who can use advanced Conqueror’s Haki. With it, he can further enhance his offensive and defensive capabilities. Kaido’s superhuman body is incredibly durable – to the point that only the world’s best swordsmen can cut him.

The Fish-Fish Fruit, Model: Azure Dragon allows Kaido to transform into a huge dragon, and his Hybrid form is both cool and terrifying. While in his dragon form, Kaido can unleash a variety of elemental attacks – including a fire breath that can destroy mountains. Kaido typically fights with a large war club, and it can do serious damage if he imbues it with Haki. According to Kaido, there were only five people in history who could actually beat him in a fight.

For years, One Piece fans believed that the Five Elders were the World Government’s highest authority, but it turns out that they serve a being named Imu. Shepherd Ju Peter is the youngest of the Five Elders, and he currently holds the Warrior God of Agriculture title. His Mythical Zoan does not have an official name yet, but it allows him to transform into a massive sandworm-like creature.

When he is transformed, Shepherd has dark, flaming smoke around his head and torso, which indicates that he has achieved Devil Fruit Awakening. While in his beast form, Shepherd can swallow his opponents whole, and he can perform surprise attacks by burying underground. He can use a powerful vacuum breath to suck objects into his mouth. Even Giants can be pulled in. When Shepherd appeared on Egghead, his immense Haki reverberated throughout the island.

Jaygarcia Saturn is the Warrior God of Science and Defense, and he is technically the main antagonist of the Egghead Arc. His Mythical Zoan has not been named yet, but it allows him to transform into a demonic bull-spider. His hybrid form towers over someone like Bartholomew Kuma, and he can hold Jewelry Bonney in one hand. Like Ju Peter, it appears that Saturn has awakened his Devil Fruit.

Saturn’s Haki is very potent and extremely dark – to the point that even Luffy and Zoro were worried. Individuals who do not possess Haki will die if they simply look at Saturn’s hybrid form. Those with low-level Haki will suffer the same fate. Saturn can regenerate almost any injury, but it does take time for him to regrow entire limbs. It appears as though Saturn also has a telekinesis-like power that allows him to immobilize and injure a Yonko Commander like Sanji.

Marcus Mars is the Warrior God of the Environment. He is arguably the least intimidating of the Five Elders, but his Devil Fruit is frightening. His beast form resembles a gigantic bird with a snake-like body, and he has seemingly awakened his power as well. This is one of the few Devil Fruits in One Piece that gives its user the ability to fly freely, and Mars can fly across an island like Egghead in minutes.

He was able to reach the Frontier Dome with ease because his body was unaffected by the dome’s defensive lasers. Marcus has the ability to fire a powerful energy beam from his mouth – which is capable of destroying buildings in an instant. Like his counterparts, Marcus possesses Conqueror’s Haki that is both dark and strong. Even someone as strong as Jinbe was startled by the potency of Mars’ Haki.

Topman Warcury may have a comically large moustache, but he is a force to be reckoned with. He currently holds the Warrior God of Justice title, and of all the Elders, his unnamed Mythical Zoan likely provides the most physical strength. Warcury can transform into a monstrous boar-like creature with enormous tusks, and his hide is especially thick. While Luffy was using Gear 5, he landed a Haki-infused punch on Warcury, but the boar’s hide was so thick that Luffy’s hand got hurt instead.

Gear 5 can turn other things into rubber, but Warcury can seemingly negate this ability. He can release a Haki-infused roar from his mouth, which is capable of disorienting Dorry and Brogy – two of the strongest Giants in the series. This roar could also affect Luffy’s awakened body. In terms of melee combat, Warcury can use his tusks as blades. Dorry and Brogy can block these tusks, but even they have difficulty with Warcury’s physical strength.

Ethanbaron V. Nusjuro is the Warrior God of Finance, and unlike the other Five Elders, he wields a sharp katana. Given his status, it is fair to assume that his sword is one of the Twelve Supreme Grade Blades. V. Nusjuro’s Mythical Zoan gives him the power to transform into a gigantic skeletal horse, and his hybrid form basically turns him into a centaur with a skeletal lower body.

V. Nusjuro is without a doubt the fastest of the Five Elders, and he can use his sword with deadly precision. He was able to take down all the Pacifista units on Egghead in less than five minutes, and he split the Labophase layer of Egghead in two with a single sword slash. He can enhance his blade with Haki, but his Devil Fruit allows him to coat it with a special type of ice as well. Given his strength, V. Nusjuro may actually be One Piece‘s strongest swordsman.

For most of the series, One Piece fans believed that Luffy’s Devil Fruit was a Paramecia, but it is actually a Mythical Zoan called the Human-Human Fruit, Model: Nika. It allows him to transform into a sun god who can manipulate his body like rubber. Gear 2 makes Luffy much faster by increasing the blood flow throughout his body, while Gear 3 increases the size of his bones to gigantic proportions. Gear 4 is strong because it combines his Devil Fruit abilities with Haki, and he has used it to take down powerful foes like Doflamingo and Katakuri.

Gear 5 is Luffy’s strongest form, and it is his Devil Fruit’s awakened form. While in this state, Luffy can fight with complete freedom, and he can treat other living and non-living things like rubber. This form takes a huge toll on Luffy’s body, but the power he gains is immeasurable. He can now overpower Admiral and Yonko-level opponents. Luffy has not mastered Gear 5 yet, but when he does, no one will be able to stop him.
