Sanji is the chef of the Straw Hat Pirates. He only fights with his legs because he believes that a chef cannot cook properly if their hands get damaged. Sanji may rely on kicks, but he is actually one of the strongest pirates in One Piece. He has strong Armament Haki, and he now possesses a superhuman body curtesy of his genetic modifications. Sanji is very strong, but there are a few Devil Fruits that can beat him.

Most of the Devil Fruits that can beat Sanji belong to the Paramecia class – which is understandable since Paramecia-types offer an array of superhuman abilities. Logia-type Devil Fruits typically allow their users to manipulate a specific element, and at least two of these fruits can take Sanji down. There is also a Zoan-type Devil Fruit that can beat him because the user mimics a mythical being’s abilities.

The Suicide Squad and Batwoman stars are among the four actors cast as key villains from the Alabasta Saga in Netflix’s One Piece Season 2.

10The Twinkle-Twinkle Fruit Should Be Able To Block Sanji’s Kicks & Harm His Body

First Used In Episode 463, “Burn Everything To Ash! Admiral Akainu’s Power”

The Twinkle-Twinkle Fruit once belonged to the Whitebeard Pirates, and Jozu used its power to protect both Whitebeard and the Moby Dick. It gives someone the power to turn any part of their body into diamond – which is considered one of the world’s strongest substances. The Twinkle-Twinkle Fruit blocked Dracule Mihawk’s strongest slash, which means that Sanji’s enhanced kicks should not be able to break through the user’s diamond skin.

The main issue with this Devil Fruit is the fact that the user cannot move their diamond body parts. That being said, the user can land devastating blows by transforming their fists and legs at the second. They can also enhance their diamond skin with Haki. Sanji now has superhuman durability and an advanced healing factor, but a capable Twinkle-Twinkle Fruit user can eventually whittle Sanji down with repeated diamond-enhanced strikes.

9The String-String Fruit Can Potentially Tear Sanji Into Pieces

Sanji dealt with the String-String Fruit during the Dressrosa Arc, and he was easily overwhelmed by it. If it was not for Law’s Devil Fruit, Sanji would likely have been killed by it. The String-String Fruit gives its user the ability to create and manipulate strings. This may not sound like a very useful power, but it is actually one of the strongest Devil Fruits in One Piece. The strings are extremely durable, and they are razor sharp. They can cut through flesh and bone like butter.

The strings should still be strong enough to restrain Sanji. If Sanji is restrained, the user can produce more strings and imbue them with Haki. These enhanced strings were capable of hurting Luffy’s Gear 4 transformation, so they should be able to slice through Sanji’s body. With Devil Fruit Awakening, the user can turn their surroundings into strings. This would give them a territorial advantage over Sanji, and their string-based attacks and defense would increase to superhuman levels.

8The Magma-Magma Fruit Should Be Able To Melt Through Sanji’s Body

First Used In Episode 463, “Burn Everything To Ash! Admiral Akainu’s Power”

Marine Admiral Akainu using the Magma-Magma Fruit in One Piece's Marineford Arc Admiral Akainu from One Piece transforms his body using the The Mag-Mag Devil Fruit Akainu faces Ace with his magma powers during One Piece's Summit War. The Marines have a number of powerful Devil Fruits at their disposal – including the Magma-Magma Fruit. The user can create and manipulate magma, and they can turn their body into magma whenever they want. Like most Logia, the Magma-Magma Fruit provides intangibility, but Sanji can negate that intangibility with his Haki. That being said, Sanji’s melee style would still put him in harm’s way.

The magma can melt anything in its path – including fire. This Devil Fruit ultimately killed Portgas D. Ace, and it dealt a seemingly fatal wound to Whitebeard – who was still considered the strongest man in the world at the time. If Sanji kicks a Magma-Magma Fruit user, there is a good chance that his legs will be destroyed. If a single magma punch lands, Sanji’s enhanced body may not be able to withstand the heat.

7The Op-Op Fruit Fruit Should Be Ablw To Rearrange Sanji’s Body

First Used In Episode 398, “Admiral Kizaru Moves! The Sabaody Archipelago In Chaos”

The Op-Op Fruit is one of the most coveted Devil Fruits in One Piece. It has the power to make someone immortal, but it comes at the cost of the user’s life. The user can manipulate the fabric of space within a designated sphereical area that they themselves create. The user can avoid Sanji’s kicks by swapping places with him, or they can simply teleport away from him.

Sanji is a competent Haki user, but a skilled Op-Op Fruit user should still be able to cut through his body with surgical precision. The user can theoretically remove Sanji’s legs and teleport them away. This would take away Sanji’s greatest strengths. Thanks to Devil Fruit Awakening, the user can apply the Op-Op Fruit’s effects to other objects. When applied to a weapon, the awakened Op-Op Fruit can cause severe internal damage to a Yonko like Big Mom, which means that it should be able to take Sanji down.

6The Glint-Glint Fruit Can Pierce Sanji’s Body

First Used In Episode 400, “Roger And Rayleigh – The Pirate King And His Right Hand”

Kizaru prepares to attack the Worst Generation with the Glint-Glint Fruit during One Piece's Sabaody Archipelago Arc. The Glint-Glint Fruit allows someone to create and manipulate light, and they can transform into light at any time. Sanji’s Haki should be able to negate the Glint-Glint Fruit’s intangibility, but there is a good chance that Sanji will never actually hit the user. This Logia allows the user to move at the speed of light. Sanji may have superhuman speed, but he is not faster than light. This means the user can avoid all of his kicks.

A Glint-Glint Fruit user can hit Sanji with light-speed kicks. These kicks will not kill Sanji, but they will definitely hurt him. The user can also fire lasers that can apparently pierce through anything. Sanji’s body may be durable, but even he cannot survive a laser barrage – especially if the lasers pierce his brain and vital organs.

5The Poison-Poison Fruit Can Still Harm Sanji’s Body

First Used In Episode 425, “The Prison’s Strongest Man! Poison-man Magellan Appears”

Magellan uses his Venom-Venom fruit to coat his body in poison in One Piece. Loffy is defeated by Magellan's Venom-Venom Fruit in One Piece. A Poison-Poison Fruit user has the power to generate various types of poison, and they can control that poison however they want. The user is also immune to poison. Certain poisons are nothing more than a mild irritant, but others are far more effective. Sanji may have a genetically enhanced body, but the Poison-Poison Fruit can theoretically immobilize him if the user produces a strong paralyzing agent.

The Poison-Poison Fruit can also produce a deadly and highly-corrosive toxin that is capable of destroying Impel Down. Even with Haki, Sanji’s legs will probably be heavily damaged by the user’s poison body. This toxin would have killed Luffy if Inazuma and Ivankov had not intervened. If this poison infects Sanji, there is a good chance he will die if he does not receive an antidote in time.

4The Press-Press Fruit Can Stop Sanji With Gravity

First Used In Episode 631, “Full Of Enthusiasm – Corrida Colosseum”

Marine Admiral Fujitora using his Press-Press fruit in One Piece's Dressrosa Arc Fujitora uses the Press-Press Fruit's gravity to subdue targets in One Piece's Dressrosa Arc. The Press-Press Fruit is currently in the hands of the Marines, and it gives its user the ability to create and manipulate gravitational forces. The user can literally throw a Marine battleship at Sanji as if it were a toy, and they can theoretically repel Sanji’s attacks. If they wanted to, the user can pull meteorites down from space, Sanji can probably survive being hit by a warship, but a meteor barrage may be too much for him to handle.

Even with Haki, it is highly unlikely that Sanji would be able to destroy a meteor with a kick. Even with his genetically enhanced body, the Press-Press Fruit should be able to pin Sanji to the ground with immense gravity. If Sanji does get pinned, the user can take the opportunity to drop a meteor on him while he is temporarily immobilized.

3The Human-Human Fruit, Model: Nika Has The Power To Beat Yonko-Level Opponents

Most of the world believes Luffy ate the Gum-Gum Fruit, but he actually ate the Human-Human Fruit, Model: Nika. The user’s body gains the properties of rubber – which means that they can stretch their body. The user can attack Sanji with a barrage of high-speed, Haki-imbued punches. They can also enlarge their limbs and hit Sanji with a giant-sized Haki fist. Even Sanji’s body would take damage from these attacks.

The Gear 5 transformation is Nika’s awakened form, and it allows the user to fight with absolute freedom. This form seems to use advanced Armament and Conqueror’s Haki. With this power, the user can literally turn Sanji’s genetically enhanced body into a rubber toy. This Devil Fruit defeated Kaido – which means that it can easily take Sanji down. The only downside is that Gear 5 consumes a great deal of stamina.

2The Paw-Paw Fruit Can Repel All Of Sanji’s Attacks

First Used In Episode 368, “Soundless Invasion!! The Mysterious Visitor: Kuma The Tyrant”

Bartholomew Kuma repels an attack from the Straw Hat pirates in One Piece. When someone eats the Paw-Paw fruit, they gain a set of paw pads on the palms of their hands. These paw pads seem harmless, but they are extremely powerful. They can instantly repel any form of melee or ranged attack, but the user needs to be fast enough to actually intercept the attacks. If Sanji fights a skilled Paw-Paw Fruit user, there is a good chance all of his attacks will be repelled.

The Paw-Paw Fruit can produce powerful shockwaves by repelling air. These shockwaves can definitely hurt Sanji, but they may not be able to take him down. Sanji faced the Paw-Paw Fruit during the Sabaody Archipelago Arc, and things did not end well. It sent him to the Kamabakka Kingdom on Momoiro Island. This means that the user can repel him straight into Marine custody or into an Impel Down cell.

1The Love-Love Fruit Is Sanji’s Natural Counter

Sanji flirts with every attractive woman he sees. He is a hopeless romantic, but he is also a bit of a pervert. This means that the Love-Love Fruit perfectly counters Sanji. This Devil Fruit can turn Sanji into stone if he feels any sort of love, lust or adoration for the user. Sanji would definitely turn into stone if he faced Boa Hancock or another attractive Love-Love Fruit user. It should be noted that the user is the only person who can reverse the petrification.

The user can fire a special petrification beam at Sanji, or they can shoot petrification arrows at him. Sanji specializes in melee combat, which puts him at a disadvantage, because the user can petrify specific body parts with kicks and punches. If the user lands enough hits, Sanji will be unable to move. This Devil Fruit petrified several of Blackbeard’s commanders. He could not undo the petrification with his own Haki, which means Sanji would not be able to break free with Haki either.
