This Morning fans issued the same complaint minutes into This Morning with one branding the segment as “cringe”.

Josie Gibson and Craig Doyle greeted viewers by dancing to 80s music as they pointed out the 8-s was going to be a main talking point on the show.

However, some viewers were less than impressed and took to social media to complain. One fumed: “I love ’80s music, but Jesus Christ, this is cringe! #ThisMorning.”

“Same s*** different day #ThisMorning,” another complained while a third added: “Only 3mins in, and it’s already a complete s**t-show.”

Other fans were unhappy with the show’s content, as one pleaded: “Give it a rest with the Strictly scandal! After this week I doubt anyone is really interested #thismorning.”

“#ThisMorning oh god strictly scandal…,” someone else tweeted.

However, not everyone shared the same opinion as one fan beamed: “#ThisMorning nice moves Josie and Craig lol.” (sic)

As they welcomed viewers to Friday’s show, Josie laughed: “Hello, what a mover. Oh, here he goes Beyonce over here.”

“Hello and a big welcome to your Friday’s This Morning,” she continued before Craig explained: “There is a reason for this. We are paying homage to the 80s today and we just can’t get enough.”

Josie burst into song before telling Craig: “You are giving me Freddie Mercury vibes. I love Freddie Mercury.”

“Why am I out of breath?” Craig laughed as Josie agreed she was too.

“That is embarrassing, isn’t it?” Josie quipped as her co-host replied: “Child of the 80s…out of breath dancing.”

Talk soon turned to their favourite songs of the 80s, Josie quickly said her top artist was Annie Lennox, which led her to burst into song and dance.
