JEREMY Clarkson has made a grim discovery at his new £1million pub after revealing it was on a former dogging site.

The TV presenter, 64, revealed he had splashed near to £1million on a country pub The Windmill, near Burford, in his column for The Sunday Times.

While working on-site at the boozer, Jeremy made a cheeky find which left fans in hysterics.

Posting a video on Instagram, the host revealed to his 8.3million followers: “Tell me you’ve bought a pub on a dogging site without telling me you bought a pub on a dogging site,” while holding up what appeared to be a pair of well-worn knickers.

As he discussed his new business venture on the social media platform, Jeremy revealed that the pub may not be opening its doors until 2025.

Opening up on the work that is needed for the venue, the former Top Gear host said: “We have much work to do, so will let you know when we can open.

“It’s entirely possible that I won’t get the place mended and open until the icy hand of winter has descended which means I’ll have 80 people to pay every week, a quagmire for a car park and no customers because – as I’ve been told time and again – people just don’t go to country pubs any more.”

The boozer isn’t tied to a brewery, meaning Jeremy can realise his dream of selling his own beer and produce from his farm at the venue.

Other than his new pub, which he reportedly intends to rename Clarkson’s Arms, Jeremy also owns and runs Diddly Squat Farm in The Cotswolds, having bought the site in 2008.

Since taking over the farm’s day-to-day, Jeremy’s exploits have been aired in three series of Amazon Prime Video’s Clarkson’s Farm – with another on the way.

Jeremy’s experiences of taking on the pub will be featured in the hit programme.

Having already captivated fans with his farm venture, could this be the star’s next hit series?

Writing previously in his Sunday Times column, Jeremy said: “So, I did a deal and then discovered that there was a famous dogging site in the area.

“Photographs from inside the nearby lavatories showed holes in the cubicle walls, strong pornography on the floor and evidence of enthusiastic consumption of drugs made at the first pub I’d considered.”

He also explained: “So I went down to see West Oxfordshire district council, expecting no help at all and blow me it down, it was very happy to close the dogging site. So, I was in business.

“My dream would become a reality. All I need was a bar person and someone who could rustle up some gammon, egg and chips and I’d be away.”

Meet the cast of Clarkson’s Farm

Clarkson’s Farm began streaming in 2021 and follows Jeremy Clarkson and his team managing Diddly Squat Farm in the Cotswolds. Here’s a ‘who’s who’ of faces in the Clarkson’s Farm cast.

Jeremy Clarkson: Presenter and journalist; also known for Top Gear, The Grand Tour and Who Wants to be a Millionaire?
Lisa Hogan: A former actress and Jeremy’s partner, who assists in the running of the farm shop.
Kaleb Cooper: A young farm worker from Chipping Norton, who forms a double act with Jeremy on-screen. He’s later promoted to farm manager in series three.
Gerald Cooper: Specialist in the construction and maintenance of dry stone walls and the farm’s “head of security”. Of no relation to Kaleb.
Charlie Ireland: Nicknamed “Cheerful Charlie”, a professional land agent who advises Jeremy on land management.

Seeing the funny side of Jeremy’s discovery, a fan wrote: “This is terrible! Please tell me the exact location, time and dates so I know to avoid missing it…”

While another joked: “New name for the pub Jeremy The Dog Inn,”

Someone else quipped: “Sorry Jez, left them behind last night.”

A fourth fan remarked: “My new local. Can’t wait.”
