Love Island fans will be gearing up to watch the live final tonight after another summer of love draws to a close in the villa.

The winners will be decided during a live vote-in, but Welsh stars Nicole Samuel and Ciaran Davies are the current favourites to seize the top prize.

Despite some viewers finding them ever-so-slightly contentious due to their frequent squabbles, they have grown into one of the most steadfast couples in the villa. Now, both the bookies and PR experts are hailing them winners ahead of the finale, with the duo potentially being lined up for a six-figure deal with a major shopping brand.

For those unfamiliar or who’ve lost track – Nicole, 24, is an accounts manager hailing from Aberdare, while Ciaran, 21, is a surveyor and rugby player from Pencoed. They paired up at the onset of the series and despite encountering a few hurdles along the way, they’ve successfully weathered Casa Amor, often referred to on the show as “the ultimate test.”

The Welsh duo stole Love Island viewer’s hearts, as they have been together right from the beginning. According to the latest predictions from William Hill Vegas, the Welsh couple is favoured to win this year’s series.

Lee Phelps, a spokesperson for William Hill Vegas said: “Love Island is all about emotion, connections, and making a lasting impression, but our research adds an intriguing layer of design to predicting who might come out on top.”

“Our data clearly shows that those who join the villa from day one have a significant advantage over their ‘bombshell’ counterparts, likely because they have more time to build strong relationships and win the hearts of the audience.”

“With the research pointing to a higher success rate for first-day entrants, this year’s strong market favourites Nicole and Ciaran are not just fan favourites but statistically well-positioned to win the £50,000 prize.”

“As fans prepare for Monday’s grand finale, it’s interesting to consider how these findings play into the dynamics of the show. While Love Island remains a rollercoaster of emotions and unexpected twists, understanding the impact of entry timing adds an important element to predicting the outcome. Nicole and Ciaran’s journey could well prove to be further evidence of this compelling trend.”

But while they might be tipped to be the public’s favourite, we all know by now that while the majority of contestants are looking for romance, they also know that the massive amounts of exposure, and people becoming invested in them as people can lead to massive career success in the real world with brand deals and other media opportunities. Just take Molly Mae Hague as an example, whose net worth is now estimated to be a massive £6 million.

While a winning couple will be chosen on the show by viewers, who will vote for their favourite remaining couples. The real prize is often who will secure the biggest brands to back them when they get out of the villa.

So how could their life look like on the “outside?” PR expert Richard Wilson, on behalf of Buzz Bingo, suggested that Nichole could even be in with the chance of bagging the holy grail ‘PLT deal.’

Richard said: “The ‘race for a PLT deal’ is also worth looking at. Nicole and Ciaran are the bookmakers’ favourite to win, so it would be no great surprise if the former signed a six-figure deal to leave her Account Manager role behind by signing up with the major online shopping brand.”

“She ticks plenty of boxes given her profile as a potential winner and it’s very easy to imagine her as one of the new faces of PLT.”

So who are they?

If you don’t watch the show – allow us to bring you up to speed. Ciaran was initially torn between two girls at the beginning of Series 11, but then decided that his heart was with Nicole. Ever since then, the pair have admitted they have strong feelings towards each other and have been completely inseparable.

So much so, that they even dropped the L-bomb straight before Casa Amor. This is the section of the show where couples are forced to go no-contact for several days, and are not allowed to see each other whilst living with a host of new Islanders which they are encouraged to get to know. Basically every couple’s worst nightmare.

For this series, the girls were moved to the new villa to get to know some new boys, whilst their original matches were left behind in the main villa, where the new girls settled in. But despite being tested, the pair didn’t find love elsewhere – even when one girl entered the villa who Ciaran had previously slid into the DMs of in the real world, but the rugby player’s head remained unturned.

They’ve had a few couple’s tiffs, but overall, the pair seem to be loving life, and are currently stronger than ever- and it’s safe to say that if you’re from Wales, you will have enjoyed some of their iconic moments and references to their home country throughout the show, including the time they sat on a bed and ignored the rest of the contestants cheering on England during the Euros final, their chats about the Welsh valleys and Nicole screeching: “WHO’S Emma?”
