Bruno Tonioli appeared to be ‘booed’ during the live Britain’s Got Talent final tonight – with the reason now explained.

Loud sounds like ‘boos’ could be heard as Bruno was quizzed about the final tonight by hosts Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly. Bruno is a rather new addition to the Britain’s Got Talent panel, with David Walliams having previously taken the role.

Speaking about being back on the show this year, Bruno said of the first series: “I enjoyed it so much! And as long as they want me, I’m on it, because obviously I haven’t done it before and they allow me to be myself. They have all been so supportive, and for me, every show is an adventure, and that’s how I approach it. One day to the next is never the same! That’s why it’s so exciting to be a part of.

“It’s been brilliant, it’s fantastic. It’s really, really good. So good. Everyone, they stop me everywhere to talk about the show. It’s amazing and it’s all kinds of people from kids to grandparents, the show is very inclusive in that way. I just love the way the audience has taken this show into their hearts. The show has that impact and I’m just so proud to be a part of it.”

Former Strictly Come Dancing judge Bruno appears to being ‘booed’ because the audience have been shouting Bruno, which to the audience at home sounds like people are booing him rather than shouting his name. However, people in the audience have confirmed that the audience are shouting his name as ‘BRU-NO’ which is why some may think it sounds like boos.

Britain’s Got Talent returned for its 17th season earlier this year, as acts made their way through the competition to reach tonight’s final. Simon Cowell, Bruno Tonioli, Amanda Holden and Alesha Dixon have been giving their verdicts on acts from magicians to singers and dancers, with Bruno being a popular addition to the panel.

All week, acts have tried to secure their spot in Sunday’s final show as a semi-final took place every night this week. 10 acts made it through, which included singer Innocent Masuku, SSaulabi Performance Troupe, magician Jack Rhodes, dancers Haribow, singer Sydnie Christmas, musical impressionist Mike Woodhams, dancing duo Abigail and Afronitaaa, the Northants Sing Out choir, comedian Alex Mitchell and magician Trixy. There is also one more performer vying for the £250,000 prize – mystery wildcard The Trickstars.

Viewers have also been treated to a performance from the cast of Mamma Mia! The Musical, with the West End show currently featuring Mamma Mia! I Have A Dream winners Stevie Doc and Tobias Turley. The Britain’s Got Talent winner is crowned by hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly and wins the huge cash prize and a spot at the Royal Variety Performance, which takes place on November 22nd at the iconic Royal Albert Hall.
