LOVE Island fans have blasted Joey Essex and claimed he is “obsessed” with his villa ex Grace Jackson after an explosive showdown.

The pair could not help but tear strips off one another during a fiery challenge on the ITV2 show.

As each individual couple faced off on the show, Joey and Grace constantly found themselves aiming digs at one another as Joey claimed that Grace was still keen on him despite his solid romance with Jessy.

The row kicked off when Grace was asked to declare which boy she would couple up with if she was not dating Reuben.

Grace opted to pick Josh but this move triggered Joey.

“I feel like if Grace was being totally honest she would’ve written my name,” Joey said

“Stop trying to mix the pot, it’s so boring,” Grace hit back.

As the game continued, Jessy Potts revealed that Joey doesn’t like her friendship with Grace.

“He doesn’t like me being friends with Grace,” she said.

“It’s giving Joey’s not over the situation with Grace…you’re so bothered about it,” Matilda Draper chipped in.

It appears that most fans are in agreement with Matilda as they hit out at Joey for the way he handled the row.

Blasting the former TOWIE star, one viewer said: “Joey is OBSESSED with grace. It’s actually very creepy now.”

Another added: “The way Joey was staring at Grace…. Whatever that means!”

A third penned: “Joey is obsessed with Grace. The way he was behaving is so odd the freak.”

Before a fourth posted: “Seen Joey in a completely different light. Acting like a complete p****.

“You’re 33! Stop gaslighting Grace you little boy.”

Joey and Grace later attempted to have a conversation with each other but it once again ended in cross words.

Grace felt as though Joey was not taking on board any of her points as he continually insinuated she wanted to be with him.
