Kate Garraway has called out Rishi Sunak for refusing a visit to the Good Morning Britain set and demanded: “Pop us in your diary.”
The presenter reprised her hosting duties in the ITV morning show this Friday, May 24, alongside Adil Ray and had a lot to say about the Prime Minister supposedly snubbing the program.
Rishi Sunak has recently been making the rounds on the small screen, appearing on BBC Breakfast and even Loose Women. However, he has so far left Good Morning Britain’s invitation unanswered and Kate was determined to change things, particularly as Sir Keir Starmer, who is hoping to move into No.10 Downing Street, has agreed to answer her questions this Friday.
Adil Ray kicked the conversation off by mentioning Keir Starmer’s upcoming appearance in the show, saying: “unlike Mr Sunak, of course, who refused to come on the show yesterday. I’m baffled by that.”

Adil’s co-host argued: “I don’t know if he refused, he’s just very busy but we would like to think we would be his priority.”
She then turned to the camera, addressing viewers directly: “and we’d like to think that you would be his priority, quite frankly, because it’s you that he’s got to convince to vote for him.” The presenter then sent Rishi Sunak a message on live TV: “we’re available for you Mr Sunak. Pop us in your diary!”
Kate Garraway’s call follows another moment on the show during which Susanna Reid took a brutal swing at Rishi Sunak on Thursday, May 23. During a chat with Guto Harri and Lord Ed Vaizey, the host accused the Conservative leader of “letting voters down” by refusing to appear on Good Morning Britain.
The discussion began when a clip of Rishi Sunak’s speech outside No.10 Downing Street, while Labour anthem Things Can Only Get Better could be heard in the distance, was played in the studio. Richard Madeley was then prompted to point out that, despite Labour protestors trying to get the best of him, the Prime Minister managed to remain calm.
