A NEVER-seen-before photograph of Kate Middleton and Prince William has been shared by a local bed and breakfast that they stayed in last year.

The Prince and Princess of Wales checked into Duffryn Mawr in Wales on April 27, 2023 and the shot showed the couple beaming as they posed with staff.

The beautiful country home is located on the edge of the Brecon Beacons, located in South Wales, and includes 16 acres of breathtaking grounds.

The idyllic B&B has just seven en-suite bedrooms, sleeping 16 guests in total.

William and Kate would have been able to access a kitchen, bar, games room and a spa with a steam room and a hot tub.

The picture was shared on the B&B’s Facebook page this year, on the one-year anniversary of the couple staying there.

Duffryn Mawr staff wrote: “It’s been 1 year since we welcomed William and Kate, the Prince and Princess of Wales, to Duffryn Mawr.

“We were delighted to welcome William and Kate for a night here when they visited The Brecon Beacons.

“So kind and friendly, it was a pleasure to have them stay here.”

In the snap, Kate was seen wearing a checked Zara midi dress and a black coat, while Prince William donned a dark coat over a shirt and tie.

They also wore those outfits as they visited the Aberfan memorial on 28 April last year.

The Prince and Princess of Wales stayed at Duffryn Mawr for one night, and are said to have dined at small independent restaurant The Bluebell Country Inn.

Kate being seen ‘out and about’ is obviously positive
The couple are said to have enjoyed their stay and wanted to show their support to small Welsh businesses.

During their official Welsh visit last year, the couple met with the Central Beacons Mountain Rescue Team, and then tried their hand at abseiling.

They later ordered pizza for the mountain rescue team and visited Dowlais Rugby Club.

The Princess of Wales shocked the nation after revealing she’d been undergoing treatment for cancer in a video address from Windsor on March 22.

Kate, 42, said her health battle was a “huge shock” to her following further tests after her abdominal surgery in January.

The mum-of-three said the family now needs “time, space and privacy” while she completes her treatment.

Kate, who is undergoing chemotherapy after the cancer diagnosis, also said she will not be returning to public duties for the foreseeable future.

Her last public sighting was in mid-March, when she and husband Prince William were filmed leaving a farm shop near their Windsor residence.

Kensington Palace’s original statement on Kate Middleton’s surgery

KENSINGTON Palace released a statement in January after Kate had undergone surgery.

Sources made it clear Kate would be out of action until at least Easter.

The palace said: “The Princess of Wales appreciates the interest this statement will generate.

“She hopes that the public will understand her desire to maintain as much normality for her children as possible; and her wish that her personal medical information remains private.

“Kensington Palace will, therefore, only provide updates on Her Royal Highness’ progress when there is significant new information to share.

“The Princess of Wales wishes to apologise to all those concerned for the fact that she has to postpone her upcoming engagements.

“She looks forward to reinstating as many as possible, as soon as possible.”

But sources have since reported that the royal was recently out and about with her family, including kids Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, 9, and Prince Louis, 6.

Now, royal biographer Richard Fitzwilliams has said that these reports show Kate is taking “positive” step in the right direction.

In an exclusive chat with The Sun, Richard said: ” I think everyone is obviously hoping that it won’t be too long before she will be undertaking world engagements, but before that happens I would suspect that she would probably be seen, and the fact that we know she’s been seen out and about is is obviously positive.

“I mean, it’s very difficult at a time like this, because, as we know, she has major abdominal surgery and is undergoing preventative chemotherapy.

“But this is an indication which is favourable and I just hope that things move in the right direction.”

However, the royal biographer suggested that it could be a while before we see Kate attend any royal engagements.
