Lorraine Kelly and Richard Madeley shared a playful moment as he poked fun at her accent.

Good Morning Britain's Richard Madeley blasts 'We're too stupid?' at Nigel Farage in awkward interview - Devon Live

The presenters were both back on ITV this Thursday, July 18, to host their respective TV shows. Taking the reins of Good Morning Britain, Richard, 68, was preparing to sign off, making way for a new episode of Loraine’s eponymous programme.

Ahead of the instalment, Lorraine teased what was ahead as she notably announced the appearance of Helen Glover ahead of the Paris Olympic Games – but Richard quickly spotted a habit she couldn’t get rid of and wasn’t even aware of.

“I love the way Lorraine starts, she always goes ‘well'”, Richard said, altering the pronunciation of the word to imitate her Scottish accent, leaving Lorraine in hysterics to add: “Do I? Do I do that?”

“You do, every morning”, Richard replied. “I didn’t even notice it”, Lorraine then exclaimed, to which the GMB presenter then replied: “You should go on Wheel of Fortune.”

This comes after presenter Richard Madeley spoke out about the Strictly crisis, saying that his own connections have said that they weren’t surprised about the allegations weighing against Giovanni Pernice, Graziano Di Prima and a potential third professional who was branded a “person of interest.”

“I have to say”, he began after reading a statement from Richard Coles who was also not surprised by the crisis, “the people I know in that programme all talk about these issues and they say they’ve all known for years and years and years but the lid has been kept on it and now it’s coming off.”

Reverend Richard Coles previously told Times Radio about the brutal and competitive nature of the popular dancing show. “I remember somebody who worked on the show for years and years telling me: ‘Strictly is a wonderful show with a dark heart.’”

“And I never really understood what that meant, but perhaps one of the things that meant is what you don’t see, which is how intensely competitive it is”, he admitted.

He then added that “nobody was surprise”, saying: “I’ve spoken to both contestants and also professionals about it. And I think no one has been surprised that this stuff has surfaced. I think everyone’s just concerned to see that appropriate measures are put in to mitigate it.”

Faced with the misconduct claims, Strictly bosses have opted for new safeguarding measures as they’ve enlisted the help of chaperones due to keep an eye on every training session – a choice Strictly icon Kristina Rihanoff criticised on Lorraine.
