Ant McPartlin welcomed his first child with wife Anne-Marie Corbett.

The pair, who tied the knot back in 2021, introduced their son Wilder Patrick McPartlin to the world on Tuesday. Taking to Instagram to announce the news, Ant shared a black and white picture of the little one, writing: “Baby is beautiful, Mummy’s a legend, Sisters are over the moon. Dad’s a mess.” His upload featured an unseen tattoo on his arm.

The names Daisy, Poppy and Amzie could be seen inked on the I’m A Celebrity star’s arm, the names of his stepdaughters, and the affectionate nickname he gives his wife, Anne-Marie. It’s this subtle addition that insiders are saying has really affected Ant’s ex-wife Lisa Armstrong.

It’s no secret the former couple wanted children of their own, with Ant previously admitting: “Lisa and I would love to have kids. We’re trying. It’s tougher than you think when you get a bit older. We’ve been trying for a little while so fingers crossed.”

Anne-Marie is Ant and Lisa’s former PA and her kids, tattooed on the Saturday Night Takeaway host’s arm, were reportedly treated like Lisa’s own during their 23-year marriage. She’d spoil them at Christmas and buy them lavish presents for their birthdays, Lisa would even take them all on holiday – they were really good friends.

Lisa, a makeup artist on Strictly Come Dancing, is thought to have found out about her ex-husband’s baby news by reading the newspaper, and wasn’t told ahead of time. It’s thought Ant’s announcement, including the names of Anne-Marie’s kids, has cut deep.

“It is a tragedy. She missed her chance to have a baby and now she has to see Ant flaunting that tattoo on social media. He really didn’t need to do that,” a friend told MailOnline. “It feels like he was rubbing her face in it. You have to remember we are talking about a story of great sadness here, she gave Ant everything and at the end of it all, ended up with an empty crib. It’s utterly heartbreaking,” the inside source added.

“Lisa finds it hurtful and heartbreaking that after everything he put her through, Ant didn’t give her the heads-up that he was going to be a dad,” said the friend. “It all feels very insulting. Ant had Lisa’s best years. It feels like the ultimate betrayal. On top of that, you have all of their old pals congratulating Anne-Marie and Ant on social media.”

After Ant’s announcement earlier this week, famous friends flocked to congratulate the couple, including Britain’s Got Talent judge Alesha Dixon, TV’s Davina McCall and This Morning star Cat Deeley, all former friends of Ant and Lisa during their marriage.

The former showbiz couple met when they were teenagers and stayed together for 23 years – but their relationship became destructive and painful when they struggled to conceive and Ant’s career was rocked by a drug addiction scandal. The celebrity make-up artist loyally stood by him through the dark times until they split in 2018.
