Giovanni Pernice has decided to show his ‘cute’ side as he dramatically proved he will keep dancing, according to a body language expert.

The professional dancer, 33, shared a defiant post online following his brutal dumping from Strictly Come Dancing after nine years on the show. He found himself at the centre of controversy for months following his most recent stint on the BBC dance competition with actress Amanda Abbington for allegations into his behaviour that he denied.

The BBC was said to have launched an internal investigation after receiving complaints from his previous celebrity dance partners on the show. This week, it was revealed Giovanni would not be returning to the show for the 2024 series. Breaking his silence following the news of his axe, Giovanni posted a clip on his Instagram Stories of him back in dance training.

In the video Giovanni could be seen taking charge in leading a series of group dance sessions. He simply added three love heart emojis to the post – defiantly showing fans he is not giving up on his passion for dance. The sessions were part of his work with Ballando, which hosts dance workshops across the country with Giovanni as well as Strictly Come Dancing judges.

Body language expert Judi James has revealed to The Mirror that the post was a way for Giovanni to show a different side to him. She exclusively told us: “There are several important messages dished up with subtlety here from the Insta clips of Gio leading a dance class, apart from the obvious one that he intends to ‘keep…dancing’ as they always say on Strictly.

“Firstly this is a large class, showing his popularity as a coach and trainer might be undimmed. The class seems to be a mix of all shapes sizes and even ages too, letting us know this might not be the rarefied air of a competitive pro dance class but that he’s keeping large groups of ‘ordinary’ women happy and smiling rather than getting celebs into shape for a competition as he did on Strictly. The women in this class might be easily identifiable with for Gio’s many fans.”

‌She added: “His cap is pushed to the back of his head here and there is one pose where he drops the ‘sex-god smoulder’ to put one finger on his chin and glance over his shoulder at the camera in an exaggeratedly ‘cute’ pose to show he might still be upbeat and keen to show his sense of self-effacing humour.”

He is proving he will keep dancing amid the setback as he’s due to take to the stage with Strictly judge Anton Du Beke tomorrow night. In April this year, Giovanni filed Rock You Productions Ltd at Companies

House alongside Paul Irving, who produced his recent tour, Let Me Entertain You as well as several other Strictly stars’ tours. This business is described as an “operation of the arts facilities”, which hints that he’s attempting to start his own dance school.

Giovanni previously shared a statement to his fans as he denied the allegations. He said: “To my dear fans, I reject any suggestion of abusive or threatening behaviour, and I look forward to clearing my name.

Those who have followed my journey on Strictly Come Dancing over the last decade will know that I am passionate and competitive. No-one is more ambitious for my dance partners than me.

I have always striven to help them be the very best dancers they can be. This has always come from a place of love and wanting to win – for me and my dance partners.

Thank you all once again for your continued love and support!” It has been claimed three female celebrities are taking action against Giovanni and last week, reports claimed a male celebrity has joined the unnamed women.
