LOVE Island’s winning couple for 2024 will scoop the title – and bumper cash prize – in the closest vote ever, according to a massive poll of Sun readers.

They predict the first pairing to go exclusive in the sun-soaked ITV2 series will be triumphant this time around.

This means Welsh duo Ciaran Davies, 21, and Nicole Samuel, 24, are frontrunners to take the Love Island title when host Maya Jama, 29, enters the villa on Monday.

A whopping 38.5 per cent of Sun readers want the rugby ace and model to win, after they became boyfriend and girlfriend earlier in the series.

They appear to be the real deal, already trading I Love Yous and not even being nominated by their co-stars for the final shock dumping.

Yet relatively new couple Mimii Ngulube and Josh Oyinsan are hot on their heels.

The duo – who poll 10 percentage points behind at 28.3 per cent of readers – have quickly captivated the hearts of the nation.

Mimii was initially paired with footballer Ayo Odukoya yet, after his “disrespectful” antics with Jess S in Casa Amor, the mental health nurse has moved on with the bombshell.

Meanwhile, well behind in third is Jess and Ayo, on 14.2 per cent.

If Sun readers are correct with their estimations, it will make for the closest run final ever.

Yet last year, they didn’t quite get it right – so there’s still all to play for with the voting.

Meanwhile, The Sun previously exclusively revealed there’ll be a shock dumping tonight, Sunday, meaning one couple will miss out on the bumper £50K prize.

We were first to tell who the pair have been axed – and already left the villa.

Eagle-eyed fans also reckon they’ve sussed an eviction twist which will determine who is given the boot.

They believe the return of the former dumped Islanders – teased at the end of Friday’s show – will mean they make the decision on who is dumped.

Aside from Ciaran and Nicole, who are the only official boyfriend and girlfriend in the villa, each pair received at least one vote – meaning they are in the danger zone.

Love Island 2024 final week couples

WITH Love Island wrapping up on Monday 29, these are the remaining contestants prior to the latest savage dumping…

Joey and Jessy

Josh and Mimii

Grace and Reuben

Sean and Matilda

Jess and Ayo

Ciaran and Nicole

This means of the remaining couples, either Sean and Matilda Draper, Mimii and Josh, Ayo and Jess S, and Joey Essex and Jessy Potts have been given the boot.

A source exclusively opened up to The Sun about the return of the dumped Islanders – insisting they have “scores to settle.”

They told us: “A number of the dumped islanders have scores to settle – when they leave they can watch footage of what really went on and they’ll relish the chance to say their piece.

“Islanders like Samantha are desperate to speak up about her treatment from Joey, for example.”

It is a twist inspired by the All Star jury, as seen on January’s legends edition.
