Dermot O’Leary and Alison Hammond announced some changes to This Morning on Friday as the duo presented the programme outside to make the most of the weather.

Gyles Brandreth and Isla Traquair joined the dynamic duo as they chatted about the latest news headlines.

However, things took an awkward turn after Dermot jokingly walked off the set and tried to open the doors to the studio.

Dermot left his co-stars in stitches as he casually returned to the sofa to continue with the rest of the segment.

As the moment unfolded, they were discussing the 250 Euro fine being implemented for people who “hog” the sun beds on holiday.

She went on to chat about how a third of employees like to “take time out” in the toilets.

“I actually do this quite often,” Alison laughed. “You know when you want a bit of a break. There is a new survey out and it has found that a third of employees visit the loo just to take a little breather.”

“Oh yeah,” Dermot agreed as Alison went on: “You know when everyone is doing your head in, you go in the toilet, sit on the toilet for a bit…and you know, just chill out.”

However, before Alison could finish her sentence, Dermot got up from his seat and walked off.

“Dermot has gone,” Alison commented as Isla burst out laughing.

As Dermot tried to get in the studio doors, the host added: “He tried.”

Elsewhere in the programme, Dermot interrupted Alison to take in his surroundings.

“Honestly, I am just going to take a moment, I hope you don’t mind,” he said to Alison.

“I don’t mind,” Alison replied as Dermot continued: “Have we got a wide shot, please? If someone had told me as a kid, right? This is so iconic because so much TV has happened from here.
