Ant McPartlin ‘snubbed’ Simon Cowell in an awkward moment on Britain’s Got Talent tonight.

Ant and Dec Donnelly were back to host the third semi-final, which will see eight more acts perform their talent routines in the hope of making it into the live final, which airs this Sunday evening.

However, there was a slightly awkward moment at the start of the show when Ant and Dec sat down on the sofa. It appeared they were being filmed in the dressing room – where they sipped on cups of tea and talked about the show ahead.

Suddenly there was a call from Simon – but Ant refused to answer and the pair of them mimicked his speaking voice as they joked about what he might say, before it was revealed they were actually on the Britain’s Got Talent stage.

As they realised they were on stage, they joked about snubbing Simon’s phone call and said they would never not answer his phone, as Simon joked about their apparent ‘snub’, with them all laughing about the skit.

However, the pair have had nicer interactions during this semi-final week, as at the start of the week, Simon sent his well-wishes to Ant and praised him for welcoming such an adorable baby boy into the world. Ant was grateful for Simon’s comments, as the live audience cheered to show their own congratulations for Ant after his family news.

Ant and his wife Anne-Marie welcomed their baby Wilder into the world just a few weeks ago. Announcing the news at the time, he shared a picture of him cradling their son, and wrote: “Welcome to the family. Wilder Patrick Mcpartlin. Born, 14/05/24 at 8.54am. Baby is beautiful, Mummy’s a legend, Sisters are over the moon. Dad’s a mess!”

He later added, explaining his pet’s name missing from his tattoo: “Hey all, I just wanted to say thank You so much for the kind messages of love and well wishes for our baby Wilder. He’s doing great.

“Glad you loved the tattoo as well. For all you dog lovers who asked why my beloved Hurley wasn’t on the family tree… he was!! He was just covered by our newborn. All my love, gratitude and heartfelt thanks. A.”
