Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s biggest GAFFES revealed – from Jamaica visit to Lilibet name.

We’ve delved into six recent faux pas that have shocked the nation

MEGHAN Markle and Prince Harry’s biggest gaffes have been revealed – from their Jamaica visit to naming their youngest Lilibet.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have shown their “disrespect and hatred” towards the monarchy as they continue to find themselves at the centre of embarrassing blunders, claims a royal expert.

Royal aides say the late Queen didn’t know her private family nickname would be used by Harry and Meghan for their daughter
Since quitting the UK and royal duties in 2020 to live a normal life, a series of misjudgements have seen the pair throw away any chance of maintaining a relationship with the Firm from across the pond.

Recent faux pas are feared to have further exiled the pair, who are now living in Montecito, California, over concerns they have been “plotted”.

Author Angela Levin has exclusively dived into the gaffes with The Sun Online as the Sussexes become more detached from reality and the Royal Family.

Below, we take a look at six slip-ups that have left the public questioning the actions of Harry and Meghan.

Visit to Jamaica

In the latest royal row sparked on Wednesday, the Duke and Duchess were accused of “very provocative behaviour”.

The pair posed with Jamaican politicians who have spoken out about ending King Charles’ rule there.

They cosied up with Marlene Malahoo Forte, Jamaica’s minister for legal and constitutional affairs, who vowed to “sever ties” with the British monarchy.

Harry and Meghan were also snapped with Prime Minister Andrew Holness and his wife Juliet who said their country was ready to “move on” from Charles being head of state.

Angela today said it was hugely disrespectful and a sign that they don’t want the monarchy to survive.

She said: “I absolutely think it’s a major disrespect on the family.

“I felt before Harry and Meghan even left, that Meghan was going to try and destroy the Royal Family.

“Meghan hates the monarchy and I think she’s encouraged Harry to feel that way as well, which is really sad.

“It’s about Meghan wanting to prove that she is better than the family and how in the end they just want to out-do them.”

Naming their youngest Lilibet

It was revealed this month that Harry and Meghan named their daughter Lilibet without speaking to the late Queen beforehand.

A new biography: Charles III: New King, New Court. The Inside Story, claimed the Sussexes hadn’t asked permission to use Queen Elizabeth’s private family nickname.

A palace source went on to say that the Queen was “as angry as I’d ever seen her” when Harry and Meghan then publicly said Her Majesty was “supportive” of their choice.

Angela said the “callous act” is like something out of a “horror story”.

She told The Sun: “It’s horrendous. I think that’s one of the worst and cruellest things they have done.

“It seems that they told her what they were going to do rather than asking.

“It’s a terrible thing to do. It’s a nickname that was very personal and secret to the Queen – one that her parents and sister first started using.

“The Duke of Edinburgh then called her Lilibet as a term of endearment, as a sign of how much he loved her.

“To steal it is shocking. Callous in the extreme.

“It is absolutely a horror story.”

Quitting the Royal Family

It appears that the Duke and Duchess laid the path for their blunderous future when they first announced they would be stepping down from their royal duties.

Their departure was announced on their now-defunct Sussex Royal Instagram page – reportedly before anything had been agreed with the late Queen.

Traditionally senior royals don’t make big announcements without her blessing, and Angela said it highlights the lack of care for protocols.

She added: “The family had discussed that if they wanted to go, they could, and would have everyone’s good wishes.

“They were asked to do it slowly and carefully but they didn’t want to. They decided to do it their own way by putting up that post.

“Harry has been dragged down with that, Meghan has never had any respect for the family and the hierarchy and protocols.

“Harry said he tried to lay out the protocols and make it easy for her to understand but she didn’t care.

“They bent over backwards to be kind but Meghan wanted it all her way.

“They still pretend they know much better than the Royal Family do, and how to run it.

“They don’t want to have any connection to them. Harry is lonely but pleasing Meghan comes first.”

Omid Scobie’s book

Pal and “mouthpiece” for Meghan, Omid Scobie, released a bombshell book last year which named Charles and Kate as the two who questioned the colour of Archie’s skin.

A dutch translation of the book, on shelves in Amsterdam, revealed the two senior royals before Meghan was accused of feeding the names to Scobie.

Despite Scobie insisting he hadn’t sent a copy to publishers with Charles and Kate in there, a translator interpreted an earlier version of the manuscript which did see them included.

Despite the huge blunder, Harry and Meghan are yet to defend either two members of the family or deny having an input in the book.

Angela said the whole thing seems “plotted” and it makes her “furious”.

She said: “You’d have to be very, very stupid to think that names change spelling or appear in a different language.

“Are these things all plotted? It seems extraordinary that an early issue of the book went to Holland only, and the publishers said they printed what they received.

“Was it all a plot? You have to gasp when you think about it.”

Avoiding Charles and Kate’s procedures in speech

King Charles and Kate both revealed their health shocks recently.

The Princess of Wales is currently recovering in hospital from planned abdominal surgery while the King is preparing for an enlarged prostate procedure.

Just days after both announcements, which came within 90 minutes of each other, Harry appeared on stage in Beverly Hills.

The Duke accepted the Living Legend of Aviation award before giving a speech which avoided any mention of his father and sister-in-law’s health concerns.

Angela said the blatant disregard for what two people close to him are going through, shows how removed Harry and Meghan are from the family.

She said: “He didn’t say anything. I felt that he was bound to say ‘I’m so sorry to hear that both my father and sister-in-law are unwell’.

“He just needed to say one sentence.

“I think he’s between a rock and a hard place. He’s got to please his wife to an extreme. I think she’s very difficult.

“Deep down he still loves his family but she comes first and that’s ok. But I think she demands that he has no contact with the family.”

Private jet travels

In another gaffe for the pair, showing just how out-of-touch they’ve become, Harry and Meghan have continuously flown private.

A slap to the face for the UK, the Sussexes have used jets to go on holiday and even take a quick trip to Las Vegas for a Katy Perry concert.

Despite wanting a private life and to live out of the public eye, Angela said they “hang on to all the royal stuff”.

The royal expert continued: “They’re complete hypocrites when it comes to flying, especially because of Harry’s work around global warming.

“That’s all nonsense, wanting to live a normal life.

“They think they’re very grand and it’s gone to Meghan’s head.

“She thinks that she is superior to everyone and can’t sit with anyone else. It’s snobbery at its worst

“She hangs on to all the royal stuff that makes her look grand, she’s got to make an entrance.

“I’m furious with Harry and Meghan because of all of the advantages and opportunities that they had, and are still using.

“Meghan was a nobody and she is now extremely well-known and very, very rich.

“There is no gratitude from her, she’s never grateful for anything at all. It makes me furious.

“They completely removed themselves and they have their own half-real and half-unreal way of living.”
