Netflix postponed Jake Paul’s anticipated boxing match against Mike Tyson due to the latter’s illness. However, Paul recently announced he would fight on the original date against “Platinum” Mike Perry, the BKFC King of Violence.

The popular YouTuber had recently accumulated considerable muscle mass, which was evident when he released a training video of himself running shirtless. Derek Brunson, an ex-UFC middleweight currently with PFL, commented on Paul’s physique interestingly.

“Jake Paul out here looking like Liver King 😂,” tweeted Derek Brunson on X. Liver King, whose real name is Brian Johnson, is a controversial fitness influencer. He had claimed that eating the raw liver of animals was the secret behind his ripped physique, which was ultimately found to be false.

Brunson’s insinuation might be two-fold. On one hand, he might’ve applauded Paul for his ripped physique. On the other hand, Brunson might’ve trolled Paul, insinuating steroid use, which was found to be the reason for Johnson’s ripped physique.

Bruson is very active on social media, especially X. He had once called out Paul for a boxing match after he left the UFC for the PFL. However, it didn’t materialize. Brunson has not fought since he defeated Ray Cooper III on his PFL debut.

As for Paul, he has already planned ahead of his fight with Mike Perry. After a potential victory over Perry, Paul intends to lock horns with the legendary Mike Tyson inside the squared circle. Paul is a betting favorite in both matchups.
