The world was shaken by Michael Jackson’s tragic death back in 2009.

But now thousands of people are preparing for their worlds to be shaken once again, after being led to believe the beloved singer is actually still alive and well.
Commenting on a spooky car selfie posted by his daughter Paris Jackson, 18, many are now claiming that the shadowy form on the backseat behind her is actually the resurrected King of Pop.

Taking on a cute smirk for the shot in a wicker sun hat and rounded sunglasses, Paris uploaded the shot for her fans’ enjoyment back in May.

However on Sunday, speculation began amongst her followers in the comments section that the dark form behind her is actually the ghost, or even more dramatically, the living form of her deceased father.

While another openly hoped: ‘Oh my god, Michael Jackson is it really you?’

More and more speculation regarding the status of the singer’s life flooded on to the photo, with it garnering almost 1000 comments.

One particularly passionate user was adamant of the singer’s presence: ‘I told everyone that he was alive but no, no one believed me! And now they know he’s alive!’

While another user oddly commented on Paris being involved in the potential conspiracy herself, writing: ‘She’s not stupid enough to post this picture if he was really alive.’

Taking things to an even more ridiculous level, fans have now started creating videos to try and prove the singer really is relaxing on the back seat.

One video, which combines the selfie with photos of Michael and the word ‘Believe’ superimposed on the screen, has been viewed over 300,000 times.

However, many also looked at the black form in the back more rationally, identifying it as a more plausible object such as a rucksack, or that a picture of him has been edited in to trick people.

One user commented: ‘How the hell can anyone imagine there is a person in the backseat? What is wrong with people?’

While another rolled their eyes at his fellow Instagram users, laughing: ‘How many people get fooled by silly hoaxes on the net!’

The speculation comes after a video was created back in May, claiming to contain multiple photos of the Thriller singer immersed in a crowd on different occasions.

The video entitled ‘Michael Jackson appears after seven years (2016) with proof’, claims the fallen star could be hiding out in Canada or Africa, and has well over 870,000 hits.

Michael died in June 2009 after taking the wrong amount of prescription drugs, resulting in a heart attack.

His death came three weeks before he set to embark on an explosive residency show at London’s O2 Arena entitled This Is It, involving fifty performances.
